국문 초록

본 연구는 마약에서 회복중인 회복상담사들의 회복과정을 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 마약중독자들의 회복을 돕고 있는 회복상담사 6명을 선정하여 질적사례 연구방법으로 접근하였고, 자료수집과 분석은 Stake(1995)가 제시한 자연주의적 일반화 방식에 따랐다. 연구결과 3개의 범주와 10개의 중심주제가 드러났다. 첫째, <회복은 나로부터 시작>에서는 ‘새출발을 위한 병원치료’ ‘신체적 반응에서 의지적 대응으로’, ‘회복을 촉진시킨 직업재활’, 둘째, <나를 비춰 준 거울>에서는 ‘거울이 되어 준 NA 동료’, ‘멘토가 되어 준 일본인 회복자’, ‘배움에 대한 열망’, 셋째, <함께 해야 할 2인 3각 경주>에서는 ‘지속되는 재발 공포’, ‘공감하는 회복경험자’, ‘회복상담사로 성장’, ‘회복이란 희망을 안고 함께 살아감’으로 도출되었다. 연구결과를 근거로 마약중독자의 회복과 재활에 기여할 수 있는 정책과 실천적 차원에서의 논의를 통해 개입 방안을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study aims to understand the recovery and activity experiences of recovering drug addicts who maintain abstinence and recovered from their addiction, and help drug addicts in recovering. For this purpose, the consented six recovery counselors participated. The collected data were analyzed, using the naturalistic generalization method suggested by Stake(1995) and three categories and ten themes were defined. The first category entitled ‘Recovery Begins from Me’ revealed ‘hospital treatment for a new start’, ‘from a physical reaction to a willing response’, and ‘vocational rehabilitation that promotes recovery.’, The second category entitled ‘The Mirror Reflected Me’ encompassed ‘NA colleague serving as a mirror’, ‘ a Japanese rehabilitation person as a mentor’, and ‘the desire to learn’ The last category entitled ‘Three-legged race that must be Done Together’ contained four themes of ‘continuous fear of relapse’, ‘sympathy of a person who has experienced recovery process’, ‘growing up as a recovery counselor’, and ‘living together with hope of recovery.’ Based on the results, discussion was made on the directions of the social policy and practical interventions for the recovery and rehabilitation of drug addicts.
