국문 초록

자본축적 성격의 변화는 경제학 이론 구성에서 주체의 이미지를 변경시키는 중요한 계기였다. 자본주의 초기 시장 파라미터 조정이 지배적인 시기, 주류경제학의 방법론적 개인주의는 부분적으로나마 타당한 경제 주체 가정이었다. 마르크스의 경우, 형식적으로 파라미터 조정 원리를 수용하였으나 주체의 행동은 궁극적으로 심층의 사회관계(사회구조)에 의해 규정된다는 사고를 고수하였다. 그러나 자본주의가 점차 진화해나가면서 불확실성과 불안정성이 계속 증가하였고 이를 반영하여 파라미터 조정을 대신해 습관이나 제도(진화적 제도주의), 그리고 컨벤션(케인스)이라는 새로운 행위 원리가 주목받게 되었다. 1970년대 주체와 구조 간의 딜레마 문제를 해결하기 위해 주류 경제학(신제도학파)과 마르크스 경제학(분석 마르크스주의) 내부에서 새로운 이론적 시도가 등장하였으나 둘 모두 결국은 실패로 끝나게 되었다.

영문 초록

The Changes in the pattern of capitalist development are likely to make economic theorist to revise the assumptions and images of economic agent. In early phase of capitalist evolution when the parametric coordination prevailed, methodological individualism as the principle of human behavior was partially resonable. Marx also seemed to accept this kind of coordination and behavior mode; however his acceptance was so utterly formal that he could still maintain that individual behavior is regulated by the social structure at deep level. As capitalism develops it tends to create more and more uncertainty and unstability. Accordingly parametric coordination was no longer valid, and new kind of coordination and behavior model was vigorously looked out for. On the one hand habits and institution was proposed as an alternative principle by the school of evolutionary institutionalism; the other hand the concepts like ‘animal spirits’ and ‘convention’ were suggested by Keynes. In the 1970s, new theoretical solution for the dilemma between subject and structure emerged in both mainstream economics and Marxian economics, which were represented by new institutionalism and Analytical Marxism respectively. However both attempts are unfortunately failed and the dilemma problem still waits the answer.
