국문 초록

이 연구는 조선동요연구협회가 동요운동의 차원에서 발간한 『조선동요선집-1928년판』이 식민지 시기 동요 정전 형성의 계기가 됐음을 밝히는 데 목표를 두고, 조선동요연구협회의 결성 취지 및 구성원의 면면, 『조선동요선집-1928년판』의 구성 방식 및 수록곡의 특징을 살폈다. 1927년 9월 결성된 조선동요연구협회는 전국에서 투고한 작품을 선별하여 1929년 1월 1일 『조선동요선집』을 출간하는 기획력과 실천력을 보였다. 운동의 이념과 관념적인 슬로건을 앞세우는 방식이 아니라 창작동요 선집을 발간하는 구체적 실천을 통해 당대의 계몽적, 관념적인 창가와는 다른 창작 동요를 보급했다. 조선의 어린이가 우리말과 글의 리듬, 동요와 동시의 감각을 익히며 성장하도록 한 것이다. 이러한 실천적 활동 방식이 조선동요연구협회가 전개한 조선소년문화운동이었다. 『조선동요선집』에 수록된 작품은 이후 악곡이 붙은 노래로 만들어져 대중적으로 향유되며 식민지 시기 동요 정전이 형성되는 계기가 되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to clarify that the “Chosun Children s Song Anthology” published by the Chosun Children s Song Research Association for the Children s Song Movement was an opportunity for the formation of the children’s song canon during the colonial period. To this end, the purpose of the formation of the Chosun Children s Song Research Association, the aspects of its members, the composition method of the “Chosun Children s Songs Anthology” and the characteristics of the songs included were examined. The Chosun Children s Song Research Association, which was founded in 1927, planned and published the “Chosun Children s Song Anthology” the following year using works submitted from around the nation. Through the concrete practice of creating children s rhymes, rather than putting the ideology and ideological slogan of the movement ahead, they created and distributed creative children s rhymes that differed from pre-existing slogans based on enlightenment and ideologies. This was to help the children of Chosun grow by learning the rhythm of Korean words and writing in addition to a sense of children s song and poetry. This practical method of activity was the Chosun Boys Cultural Movement developed by the Chosun Children s Song Research Association. The works listed in the “Chosun Children s Song Anthology” were later made into songs enjoyed by the public, and became an opportunity for the formation of the canon during the colonial period.
