국문 초록

이 글은 제4차 산업혁명 시대의 가족의 미래를 일별하고, 가족학적 관점에서 앞으로 주목해야 할 지점을 제시하는 시론적 성격을 갖는다. 가족학적 관점에서 제시한 다섯 가지의 질문은 첫째, 속도의 시대를 가족은 어떻게 살아낼 것인가? 둘째, 초지능성을 시대를 사는 세대는 어떠한 미래를 꿈꿀 것인가? 셋째, 공적인 것과 사적인 것의 경계는 허물어질 것인가? 넷째, 관계의 상호성은 확보될 수 있는가? 다섯째, 가족의 기능은 ‘보편적으로 평등하게’ 대체될 수 있는가? 이다. 이러한 질문에 대하여 빠른 변화 속도에만 집중할 것이 아니라 가족이 공유한 축적된 시간을 고려할 필요와, 초지능성의 시대에 세대 간 이해와 소통을 높이는 교육이 중요함을 논의하였다. 또한 제4차 산업혁명이 이끄는 융합의 시대에는 가장 사적인 곳에서부터 가장 공적인 질문과 해답이 나올 수 있으므로 가족의 역할에 대한 논의와 실천이 공공성을 갖추는 방향으로 나아갈 필요가 있다. 마지막으로 제4차 산업혁명 시대에는 가족 간 및 가족 내의 불평등에 대한 정책적 접근이 필요하고 관계형성역량의 중요성이 강조되어야 함을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to ascertain the future of the family in the Fourth Industrial Revolution era from a family scholar’s perspective. It posits five questions on how families can prepare for and respond to rapid changes: 1) How will the family spend their time in a fast-paced era? 2) What attitude to life should future generations adopt in the Fourth Industrial Revolution era? 3) Will the boundary between public and private life be maintained? 4) How can reciprocal relationships be secured? 5) Can universally equal replacements for family functions be found? The subsequent discussion focuses on the necessity for family members to learn that their way of life will be very different from the other generations and to recognize the value of shared time with the family in a fast-paced era is considered. Also, as the boundary between public and private life erodes in the Fourth Industrial Revolution era, it is suggested that the discourse surrounding families should be taken into account in the public sphere. In addition, policies being expedited to support vulnerable families through this period of rapid change and the increasing importance of relationship-building skills.
