『東武遺稿』｢陳情｣에 대한 기초적 연구를 통한 난해어구의 교감

국문 초록

연구목적 : 본고에서는 이제마의 유일한 경세학적 저술인 『東武遺稿』「陳情」에 대해 저술시기와 주제 등을 밝히는 기초적인 연구를 통해 난해어구를 교감한다. 방법론 : 첫째 「陳情」의 작성시기를 밝히고, 당시 함경도의 현안에 대해 고찰한다. 둘째 「陳情」의 논지전개상 주제를 잘 드러내는 핵심구절들에 대해 고찰하여, 함경도의 농업정책과 국방정책의 연관성에 대해 밝힌다. 셋째 이상의 기초적 연구에 근거하여 “洋醜之漁獵頻泊(氵义) 港, 峩人之耕牧恒據沿䐉”에 대해 그 역사적 맥락을 통해 교감한다. 결과와 결론 1. “洋醜之漁獵頻泊(氵义)港”은 1869년에 이양선이 세 차례에 걸쳐 웅기만으로 정박했던 웅기만 사건이다. 2. “我人之耕牧恒據沿疆”은 1870년에 널리 퍼진 러시아가 이상적인 정치를 펼치는 이상적인 국가이며 러시아로 이주하면 소와 말과 같은 가축까지 준다는 소문이다.

영문 초록

Objectives : First, the time of publication of the writing Jinjeong(陳情), was identified with consideration of current affairs at the time in Hamgyeongdo. Second, the relevance between agricultural policies and military/defense policies were identified. Third, based on these findings, the phrase “洋醜之漁獵頻泊(氵义)港, 峩人之耕牧恒據沿䐉” was throughly examined within its historical context. Methods : First, the time of publication of the writing Jinjeong(陳情), was identified with consideration of current affairs at the time in Hamgyeongdo. Second, the relevance between agricultural policies and military/defense policies were identified. Third, based on these findings, the phrase “洋醜之漁獵頻泊(氵义) 港, 峩人之耕牧恒據沿䐉” was throughly examined within its historical context. Results & Conclusions : 1. The Jinjeong(陳情) of the Dongmuyugo(東武遺稿) is a writing on crossing borders into the Maritime Province of Siberia, which was written between the end of September and December of 1870. 2. The phrase “洋醜之漁獵頻泊(氵义)港” is related to the incident when a handover line was at anchor in the Unggi harbor three times in 1869. 3. “我人之耕牧恒據沿海” refers to the rumor spread in 1870 about Russia being an ideal country that practiced ideal politics, to the extent of cattle and horse being gifted to immigrants into the country.
