몽골사에서의 탐라의 가치

국문 초록

본고는 몽골사에서 탐라가 가지는 가치를 大都와 해상루트, 몽골과 탐라의 만남, 탐라의 다로가치와 혼일강리역대국도지도로 나누어 살펴본 것이다. 몽골인들은 유라시아 초원루트를 완성했다. 특히, 코빌라이 카간(Khubilai Khagan, 재위 1260∼1294)때 바닷길을 어떻게 구축해 나갔는가를 집중적으로 고찰해 보았다. 탐라는 당시 바닷길의 한 축을 이루고 있었다. 이러한 탐라가 몽골과 어떤 관계를 가지고 또 무슨 역할을 수행했는지를 밝혔다. 이 결과 탐라의 역사에서 코빌라이 카간은 탐라의 가치를 인식하고 구체적으로 활용한 인물로 나타났다. 탐라의 다로가치에서 이장(李莊)과 실리백(失里伯, Silbi)이라는 두 가계(家系)가 주목된다. 기록상으로 미루어 실리백의 가계가 탐라 다로가치의 적통(嫡統)으로 보인다. 또 세계 최초의 세계지도인 혼일강리역대국도지도도 탐라와 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This article divides the value of Tamna in the Mongol Empire history into Khan Balig(大都, Yeke Khota) and the sea route, the encounter between the Mongols and the Tamnas, and the Darugachi(達魯花赤) of Tamna and the Map of the Unified Territory and Dynastic Capitals throughout History (Honil kangni yeoktae kukto chi do, 混一疆理歷代國都之圖) (hereafter referred to as the Kangnido). The Mongols had completed the Eurasian Steppe route. Especially, we concentrated on how they had made the sea route during the reign of Khubilai Khagan from 1260 to 1294. Tamna was the axis of the sea route at that time. We have examed that Tamna had showed what kind of relationship with the Yeke Yuan Mongols and what role it had played. As a result, Khubilai Khagan is considered a historical figure who recognized Tamna s values and utilized them in Tamna history. We noticed two families of Lee Jang(李莊) and Silbi(失里伯) among the Darugachi of Tamna. It seems that Silbi s family is the main line of descent of the Darugachi of Tamna. The Kangnido, the world s first world map is related to Tamna.
