이육사의 독립운동에 대한 연구 성과와 과제

영문 초록

Yi Yooksa is known as nationalist and resistance poet. He is not only a poet but also a independence activist. However, the research about him tends to be focused only on his literature. We are lack of historical tracing, which made it hard to restore his life clearly. The goal of this research is to summarize the results of previous researches and to suggest tasks that lies ahead. Research about Yi Yooksa’s independence movement started in 1990s. The results of those researches are as follows; Firstly, the meanings, changes and using habit of his names he used(Yi Hwal, Yi Yooksa) was confirmed. Secondly, the education courses he completed were revealed. Especially, the school he went to Beijing in 1925~1926 was Dept. of Commerce, Zhongguo College(中國大學). Thirdly, he had no relations with Jang Jinhong’s anti-Japanese struggle and suffered an unreasonable imprison. Fourthly, he was repeatedly captured by Japanese police after 1930s. Fifthly, he went to Nanjing and entered Korea Military Academy for the Revolution to be trained as a military officer in 1932. Sixthly, his remains in Nanjing were found. Seventhly, he contributed an essay with communism atmosphere in 1932, and that essay was published on magazine in 1933. Eighthly, the reason he left to Beijing in 1943 was confirmed and his trace was found. Ninth, he died in the Japanese MP barrack, or in the jail of Japanese consul. On the other hand, there are still many parts not discovered about his life. Firstly, the record of his college life in Beijing has to be found. Secondly, confirming he did or did not join Uiyoldan(Righteous Ardent Corps) is required. Thirdly, his action in 8 months of infiltration into Korea after graduating Korea Military Academy for the Revolution needs to be revealed. Fourthly, his frequent imprison needs to be researched thoroughly. Fifthly, the purpose of his last visit to Beijing is not certain yet. We can only guess he would have tried to connect the domestic and abroad liberation actions, and attempt to link right and left forces. Sixthly, the type of the prison where he died needs revealing. It was not only a Japanese MP prison, but also was ‘General Committee of Eastern Cultural Project’(東方文化事業總委員會) which is Japanese special cultural agency. Seventhly, remains of Yi Yooksa in/outside the Korea to be investigated, Research about Yi Yooksa should be led by thorough data tracing and analyzing. And if we add literary imagination on that, we would be able to restore his life, action and spirit.
