국문 초록

오늘날 정보전달 기술의 발달 및 상품과 정보의 과잉 생산에 따른 새로운 문제들이 생겨났다. 출판산업에 있어서도 수많은 도서 가운데 발견성은 중요한 문제로 떠오르며 북큐레이션의 필요성이 제기되었다. 북큐레이션은 도서관, 서점, 개인 등이 주체가 되어 다양하게 활용되고 있으나 그 용어의 쓰임은 큐레이션의 일부로써 북큐레이션을 해석하는 경우가 많다. 따라서 본 연구는 다양한 영역에서 적용되며, 적용하는 주체에 따라 협소하게 해석하고 있는 개념을 다시 정립하고자 했다. 수많은 책 속에서 북큐레이션은 독자 개인의 능력, 관심분야, 취향 등에 따라 각각의 개개인 맞춤서비스가 가능하다. 이러한 역할은 단순히 도서정보를 알려주는 의미를 넘어 개인의 독서생활을 지원해준다. 이에 북큐레이션은 궁극적으로는 독자층을 확대하기 위한 서비스라고도 할 수 있다. 또한 독자층 확대를 위한 북큐레이션 유형의 기준은 책의 디스플레이와 전시형태를 기준으로 책과 책, 책과 소품, 책과 상황, 책과 개인으로 구분할 수 있다.

영문 초록

Today, new issues have arisen in relation to the development of information transmission technology and the overproduction of products and information. In the publishing industry, the book discovery issue among numerous books becomes an important factor, which raised the necessity for book curation. Book curations are being used in various ways, led by libraries, bookstores, and individuals. In many cases, however, the term is interpreted as a part of the curation. It is only meant to display or display books on the bookshelf, causing problems that are used as concepts other than the value of books. Therefore, this study aims to reestablish the concept of book curation, which is applied in various areas and still is interpreted narrowly according to the subject to which it applies. The ultimate purpose of book curation is to develop and expand the readership. For this purpose, the curation service, which includes various methods and processes using the books as a medium, can be called book curation. Taking a look at the concept and importance of book curation, this study classified the types of book curation into books and books, books and props, books and circumstances, and books and individuals according to the characteristics of the site.
