국문 초록

최근 출판산업에서는 새로운 미디어인 팟캐스트를 통해 전통적 미디어인 책에 대한 관심을 환기시키거나 소비를 유도하고 있다. 각자 필요한 욕구에 따라출판사, 서점, 작가, 단체 등에서는 소비자들에게 다양한 팟캐스트를 제작하여서비스하고 있다. 출판 관련 팟캐스트는 첫째, 수익구조 개선을 위한 마케팅적인 측면이 강하고, 둘째, 독서 진흥에 큰 역할을 하고 있다. 셋째, 새로운 세대와 미디어를 갈구하는 젊은 층에게 읽는 책과 보고 듣는 책의 간극을 줄여 독서의 지평을 넓히고 있다. 마지막으로 책이라는 매체의 미래가 과연 어떻게 진화할지 물음표를 남기고 있다. 이러한 출판 팟캐스트의 요구에 걸맞게 출판사, 서점, 방송사, 작가, 기타 여러 주체가 팟캐스트를 제작하고 있으며, 이들 사례분석을 통해 향후 출판산업의 현재와 미래를 진단해보고자 한다.

영문 초록

As we move into the web 2.0 era, new UCC form media such as podcast emerged and people seek to find a way to improve the publishing revenue structure by taking advantage of this. Podcast became more actively used as a new devices being called as smart phone becomes popular and has been used for the readers who crave for a more diverse content as targets. First, publishing podcast is strong in marketing aspect for the improvement of profit structure and second, it is doing great role in reading promotion. Third, to new generations and young people who crave for media, it is reducing the gap between the reading book and seeing and hearing book and thereby broadening the prospect of reading. Finally, it leaves a question about how the future of the medium of the book would be evolved actually. And responding to the requests of this publishing podcast, publishers, bookstores, broadcasters, writers, university and many other subjects are producing podcasts. And we intend to diagnose present and future of publishing podcasts through case analysis of them.
