국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 서로 다른 사고양식(thinking styles)을 지닌 팀 구성원들이 이질적, 동질적 팀 으로 구성될 때, 팀원 간의 상호작용과 팀 전체의 성과와는 어떠한 관계가 있는지 탐색하는 것이 다. 이를 통해 대학 교과목에의 활용을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고 교육적 시사점을 도출하고자 한다. 이를 위해 세종시 소재 H 대학교 공과대학 신입생 128명의 사고양식, 팀 상호작용을 측정 하고, 팀 성과물을 평가하여 이를 대상으로 최종분석이 이루어졌다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 팀 상호작용은 사고양식에 기초하여 편성한 동질 집단이 이질 집단보다 높게 나타났으며, 그 차이는 통계적으로 유의미하였다. 둘째, 사고양식에 기초한 동질 집단 내에서의 팀 상호작용 은 외부적 양식이 가장 높고, 군주제, 행정적 양식 순으로 높게 나타났으며, 보수적 양식이 가장 낮았다. 그러나 이러한 차이가 통계적으로 유의미한 정도는 아니었다. 셋째, 사고양식에 따른 팀 (이질적, 동질적)의 팀 성과물 점수는 동질 집단이 이질 집단보다 높게 나타났으며, 그 차이는 통계 적으로 유의미하였다. 넷째, 동질 집단 내의 팀 성과물 점수는 입법적 양식이 가장 높고, 내부적, 행정적 양식 순이었으며, 보수적 양식이 가장 낮았는데 이러한 차이는 통계적으로 유의미하였다.

영문 초록

This research aims to explore the effects of thinking styles-based team composition on team interaction as well as on team outcomes in engineering freshmen, and to draw educational implications for its application to college classes. According to the examination of both domestic and overseas researches concerning the relationships among thinking styles, team interaction and team outcomes in engineering students, few studies have focused on them at second hand. This study was conducted with 128 engineering freshmen in the《 academic writing 》class at H University, and their thinking styles, team interaction as well as team outcomes have been evaluated. Our findings show that firstly, there were significant team differences in team interaction. Thinkingstyles based homogeneous teams obtained higher scores than heterogeneous ones. Secondly, within homogeneous teams, external style got the highest scores in team interaction than the others. Third, there were significant differences in team outcomes. Homogeneous teams obtained higher scores than their counterparts. Finally, in team outcomes, legislative style got the highest scores than the other styles. These findings could be applied for the development of team-based class and its improvement. Also they could provide an explanation for designing thinking stylesbased team composition in related courses.
