국문 초록

스마트 미디어 시대로 접어들면서 독서 패러다임이 변화하고 기술의 발전에 따라 독서방식과 독서행동도 진화하고 있다. 본 연구는 변화하는 독서환경에 맞게 대학생들의 독서행동을 분석하고, 그에 맞는 독서진흥 방안을 제안하고 있다. 연구 결과 대학생들이 독서에 대한 중요성과 필요성은 인식하고 있으나 독서습관은 체득하지 않고 있으며, 독서행동도 디지털 시대에 따른 독서환경에 맞게 진화하는 것이 아니라 여전히 종이책을 선호하고 전자책은 부수적이고 소극적으로 활용하고 있었다. 특히 출판계에서 가장 핫한 오디오북에 대한 인식이 낮고 활용도 역시 낮은 것으로 드러났다. 스마트 미디어에 익숙한 대학생 세대가 전자책이나 오디오 북에 대한 인식이나 활용이 낮음은 의외의 결과였다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 독서진흥책으로 대학에서 독서인증제 도입을 제안하고 있다. 교양과목에서 독서 관련 과목을 의무적으로 개설하는 범위를 뛰어넘어 졸업 자격과 연결하거나 학점과 연계하는 등 강력한 독서인증제를 도입해 대학생의 다양한 독서 활동을 권장하고 있다.

영문 초록

As we enter the era of smart media, the reading paradigm changes and as technology advances, reading methods and reading behaviors are evolving. This study analyzes university students reading behavior in accordance with the changing reading environment, and proposes measures to promote reading accordingly. Research shows that university students recognize the importance and necessity of reading, but do not learn reading habits, and reading behavior does not evolve to fit the reading environment according to the digital age, but still prefers paper books and uses e-books in a secondary and passive manner. In particular, it turned out that the most popular audio book in the publishing industry is low on awareness and low utilization. The unexpected result was that the generation of college students who are familiar with smart media had low awareness or use of e-books or audio books. It is proposing the introduction of a reading certification system as a measure to promote this problem. Beyond the mandatory opening of reading-related subjects in liberal arts courses, the government has introduced a strong reading certification system, such as connecting with graduation qualifications or connecting with credits, to encourage university students to engage in various reading activities.
