국문 초록

《忠孝勇烈奇女傳》은 淸代 俠義小說의 하나로, 木蘭奇女傳, 忠孝勇烈木蘭傳이라고도 하는데, 작자 미상의 4卷 32回로 구성되어 있다. 이 작품은 여성 영응 朱木蘭의 활약을 그리고 있는데, 간신의 참소로 인해 비극적으로 죽을 수밖에 없는 상황을 묘사하고 있다. 혼란한 시대는 위대한 영웅을 등장하게 만든다. 정치적으로 혼란했던 隋나라를 배경으로 여러 영웅들이 출현하고 있다. 주목란은 부친 朱天錄의 묵인 하에 出征하고 있고, 李靖도 그녀가 여성임을 알게 되지만 대의를 위해서 모르는 척 눈감아준다는 점에서 기존 목란 서사와 전개가 상당히 달라지고 있다. 朱木蘭은 천부적인 지성과 예감 능력을 가지고 있어서 앞으로 전쟁이 12년 동안 진행될 것을 알고 있다. 또한 儒佛道의 경전에 대한 해독력도 뛰어나 그 오묘한 이치를 꿰뚫고 있음을 드러낸다. 그녀는 奇書와 翼孝明駝를 획득하여 자신의 능력을 더욱 잘 발휘할 수 있게 된다. 특히, 李靖, 喪吾 대사, 靖松道人 등의 도움으로 문무를 겸비한 완벽한 여성 영웅으로 만들어지게 된다. 그녀는 천상계에서 하강한 인물이기 때문에 선천적으로 초월적 능력을 구비하고 있는데 다가 활쏘기, 槍術을 전수받음으로써 후천적인 학습을 통해 나라의 재난을 구원하는 구국 영웅의 길로 들어서게 된다. 초월적 능력을 가진 朱木蘭도 시련에서 벗어날 수는 없었다. 朱天錄 부부로 변한 여우 요괴가 朱木蘭의 효심을 시험하지만 결국 극복해내고 番國과의 전쟁을 승리로 이끄는 주역이 된다. 그녀의 희생정신은 華夷의 구분이 없었고 온 나라 사람들을 위기에서 구원하고자 하는 목적을 가지고 있었기에 더욱 빛이 난다. 간신들의 참소로 인해 朱木蘭은 충심을 시험 당하기도 한다. 혼란한 시대가 지나가고 태평한 시대가 오니 그녀는 兎死狗烹의 신세가 된다. 남성위주의 사회에서 여성 영웅은 갈 곳을 잃게 되었고 구원자의 역할을 완수한 주목란은 비극적인 죽음을 통해 천상으로 복귀한 것으로도 볼 수 있다.

영문 초록

Zhongxiaoyonglieqinüzhuan is the Qing Dynasty martial arts novel, it is also called Mulanqinüzhuan, Zhongxiaoyongliemulanzhuan, consists of an unknown 4 volumes 32 times. This work depicts the performance of a female entertainer, it depicts a situation in which she is forced to die tragically due to the devastation of adultery. Confused times make a great hero appear. A number of heroes are emerging against the backdrop of the political turmoil of the Sui Dynasty. Zhu Mu-lan goes to the court with the acquiescence of her father Zhu Tian-lu. Li Jing also finds out that she is a woman, but her story and development are quite different in that she overlooks her ignorance for the greater good. Zhu Mu-lan has natural intelligence and foresight, so he knows that the war will continue for 12 years to come. She is also good at deciphering the scriptures of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, revealing that she has a good grasp of its exquisite logic. She gets an amazing book and a camel so that she can perform better. In particular, with the help of Li Jing, Sangwu, and Jingsongdaoren, she will be made into a perfect female hero with both literary and martial arts. Because she is a powerful figure in the heavenly world, she is naturally equipped with transcendental abilities, and by taking lessons in archery and singing, she enters the path of a hero who saves and saves the country through acquired learning. Zhu Mu-lan could not escape the ordeal, either, with transcendent powers.
