국문 초록

본 논문의 목적은 국가의 글로벌 물류성과의 여러 시점간 효율성의 추세를 평가하고 물류성과지수(LPI), 국제 경쟁지수(GCI) 및 1인당 국내총생산(GDP)와 같은 지표를 활용하여 글로벌 물류 성과의 향상을 통해 국가 경제 성과 및 글로벌 경쟁력의 개선 전략을 제안하는 것이다. 결합 된 이단계 군집 및 DEA 윈도우 방법론으로 국가들을 그룹화하고 2007 년부터 2018 년까지의 효율성 추세를 측정하였다. 사회간접자본, 관세, 물류 품질 및 추적의 물류성과지수 구성 요소는 국가의 글로벌 경쟁력을 높이는 데 중요한 반면 대부분 개발된 국가들로 구성된 클러스터 2 국가들의 인당 GDP를 높이는 데는 중요하지 않다는 사실을 확인하였다. 또한, 전체 기간동안 효율적 프론티어에서 운영되는 국가들은 거의 없으며 대다수가 순수 기술적 비효율로 인한 비효율성을 나타냈다. (특히 클러스터 1) 국가들은 문제 영역을 식별하고, 운영을 능률화하며, 정보를 공유하여 관리적 비 효율성에 대처할 수 있는 발전된 자동화 시스템을 도입하는 것이 필요할 것이다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to evaluate the inter-temporal efficiency trends of global logistics performance of countries and propose strategies for improving national economic performance and global competitiveness through enhancing global logistics performance employing indicators such as Logistics Performance Index (LPI), Global Competitiveness Index (GCI), and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita. The combined Two-step clustering and DEA window methodologies were used to group countries and measure their efficiency trends from 2007 to 2018. Whereas LPI components of infrastructure, customs, and logistics quality and competence are significant in increasing a country’s global competitiveness, they are not crucial in increasing the GDP per capita of cluster 2 (developed) countries. Also, few countries intermittently operated on the efficiency frontier with the majority being inefficient due to pure-technical inefficiencies. We recommend advanced automation that will enable countries (especially in cluster 1) to identify problem areas, streamline operations, and share information to counter managerial inefficiencies.
