대학 글쓰기 교육에 있어 개별 장르별 글쓰기가 지니는 효과와 의미

국문 초록

본고는 학술적 글쓰기와 자기 성찰적 글쓰기가 기계적으로 구분되어 자칫 대립적인 양 극단의 개념으로 비춰질 수 있다는 문제와, 대학 글쓰기 교육 연구의 거시적, 미시적인 차원의 논의가 이루어질 필요성에서 비롯되었다. 이러한 문제의식에 입각하여 본고에서는 학술적 글쓰기와 자기 성찰적 글쓰기를 융합할 수 있는 글쓰기 교육의 방안을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 개별 장르의 글쓰기 수행의 과정과 그 결과에 초점을 두게 되었고 그 결과 특히‘ 개별 장르 글쓰기’ 중‘ 관찰 서사 쓰기’를 집중적으로 살펴보았다. 선행 연구자들의 논의를 바탕으로‘ 관찰’의 기능과 의의를 탐색하고, 관찰의 방식과 단계를 제시하였다. 또 관찰 서사의 종류와 특성을 살펴보고, 관찰 서사 쓰기가 지니는 의미와 효용성, 나아가 관찰 서사 쓰기의 방식과 단계를 도출하고자 하였다. 관찰과 관찰 서사 쓰기의 단계는 필연적으로 관찰 서사와 관련한 글쓰기 수업과 연계된다. 이에 관찰 서사 쓰기의 예시 수업을 주차 별로 구분하여 제시하고, 어떻게 활용될 수 있는지에 대해 논하고 관찰서사의 실제 사례를 제시하였다. 이를 통해 관찰 서사 쓰기는 다시 세부 장르와 결합하는 과정에서 그 성격과 목적을 달리 하는 유연성을 가지고 있다는 점을 확인 할 수 있었다. 또한 학술적 글쓰기 장르냐, 자기 성찰적 글쓰기 장르냐의 여부를 떠나 관찰 서사는 그 자체만으로 이미 개인적 체험, 성찰의 과정과 분석, 비판의 과정 모두를 담보하고 있기에 통합적 글쓰기로 도달할 수 있는 가능성을 지닌다고 보았다.

영문 초록

This study started from the necessity to make micro and macro level discussion on the writing education of university and issues that academic writing and self-reflective writing are inadvertently viewed as a problem of the concept of extremes as they are classified mechanically. On the basis of such issues, the purpose of this study was to observe a way of writing education which can blend academic writing and self-reflective writing. Therefore, the process and the result of writing each genre were focused. Specially, writing narrative of observation out of Writing each genre was intensively observed. Based on the discussion of preceeding researchers, the function and meaning of observation was examined to propose a way and step of observation. In addition, the kind and specialty of narrative of observation were examined to derive the meaning and effectiveness of writing narrative of observation and a way and step of writing narrative of observation as well. The step of observation and writing narrative of observation are inevitably linked to writing class related to the narrative of observation. Therefore, the sample class plan of writing narrative of observation were categorized by week and suggested, discussed how they are utilized and proposed actual case of narrative of observation. As a result, it is observed that the writing narrative of observation has flexibility unlike its nature and purpose in the process of combining with detailed genre. In addition, as the narrative of observation has already secured personal experience, the process of reflection and all processes of analysis and criticism, it has possibility to reach to integrated writing.
