영문 초록

This study attempted to investigate the effects of academy selection on career decision self-efficacy and career preparation behavior among cosmetology academy students. For this, a questionnaire survey was conducted among 10-12th graders who were taking skincare, hairdressing, nail-care and makeup classes at cosmetology academies in Seoul and Gyeonggi from December 10, 2018 to January 10, 2019. Among a total of 330 questionnaires distributed, 316 copies excluding 14 poorly answered ones were used for final analysis, and the results found the following: Academy facilities and self-efficacy are critical elements for enhancing students’ career decision self-efficacy and career preparation behavior. It was also found that as career decision self-efficacy increased, career preparation behavior improved.
