恕의 용례들 - 强恕에서 邢恕까지-

국문 초록

이 글은 『佩文韻府』와 『佩文韻府拾遺』에 수록된 서의 二字類 용례 42가지를 대상으로 고전적인 서의 의미 체계를 범주화하고, 그 철학적 의의를 탐구하려는 것이다. 특히 이 글이 주목하는 것은 ‘反恕’와 ‘容恕’의 용례 및 서의 실천을 위한 인간적 기초를 함축하는 용례로서 ‘情恕’와 ‘理恕’의 의미다. 이를 통해 다음 세 가지가 밝혀질 것으로 기대된다. 일차적으로 서의 의미가 다양화된 방식과 범위, 그리고 한계가 밝혀질 것이다. 둘째 현대적으로 재음미할 가치가 있는 주요한 네 가지 용례로서 반서와 용서 및 서의 인간적 기초를 대변하는 낱말로서 정서와 이서의 의미를 파악할 수있을 것이다. 반서는 타인을 위한 고려의 부재, 혹은 악의적 고려의 의미를 갖는다. 똘레랑스의 번역어로서 관용의 의미 속에 포함된 용서의 현대적 이해는 이 낱말에 대한 유학자들의 반대를 고려해야 한다. 한편, 정서는 서의 실천을 위한 방법론적 통로로서 중국의 지성사가 가정하고 있는 인간의 기본적 특징이 감정적 요소라는 것을 보여주는 명시적 용례다. 이서는 서의 실천 과정에서 이러한 정서의 과도함과 위험성을 방지하기 위한 반성적 사유의 도입을 권고하는 용례다. 그리고 서의 용례들 가운데서 감정적이고 정서적인 태도를 뜻하는 낱말들이 수반되는 경우가 압도적 으로 많은 것은 서의 실천을 위한 원형적 기초가 감정적, 정서적 태도임을 증명하고 있다.

영문 초록

This article is an analysis of 42 examples of the book contained in the Pèiwényùnfǔ (佩文韻府) and Pèiwényùnfǔshíyí (佩文韻府拾遺) . It is to categorize the classic system of meaning of Shù (恕) , and explore its philosophical significance. In particular, this article pays attention to four examples. Fãnshù (反恕) and róngshù (容恕) , Furthermore, as an example that implies a human basis for the practice of the shùt, we will explore the meaning of qíngshù (情恕) and lǐshù (理恕) . This is expected to reveal the following three things. First, the meaning of the shù will be revealed in a diversified way, scope and limitations. Second, the meaning of the four main examples that are worthy of modern relishing will be understood. Fãnshù means the absence of consideration for others, or malicious consideration. The modern understanding of forgiveness, which is included in the meaning of kuānróng (寬容) as a translation of tolerance, should take into account the resistance of the learners to this word. On the other hand, qíngshù (情恕) is an explicit example of the basic human characteristics assumed by China’s intellectual history as a methodological channel for the practice of the shù. Lǐshù is an example of recommending the introduction of reflective reasons to prevent the excessive and dangerous nature of such sentiments in the course of the practice of shù. And there are overwhelmingly many examples of shù examples that involve words that mean emotional and emotional attitudes. This proves that the prototype for the practice of shù is an emotional and emotional attitude.
