중국 웹소설 이용자의 특성에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 중국 웹소설 이용자의 특성을 인구통계학적 요인을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 남성이 여성보다 웹소설을 더 많이 이용하였고, 유료 이용에서 이런 현상은 더 두드러졌다. 둘째, 저연령층 특히 20-30대가 웹소설의 주요 이용층이었다. 셋째, 대졸자가 웹소설의 주요 이용자 층이었다. 이들은 저작권보호에 대한 높은 의식을 보유하고, 경제력을 확보한 계층이어서 가장 견고한 웹소설 이용자층이다. 넷째, 학생 및 직장인이 더욱 더 웹소설을 이용하였다. 다섯째, 한 달 평균 3,000-8,000 위안의 수입을 가진 집단이 가장 우세한 이용자층이었다. 최상위 및 최하위층을 제외한 이들이 더 빈번히 웹소설을 이용했다. 마지막으로 ‘4선 및 이하’의 도시주민들이 주요 이용자층이었다. 이들은 대도시 주민에 비해 취미나 여가활동 기회가 많기 때문에 웹소설 이용빈도가 가장 높은 것으로 이해할 수 있다. 중국 웹소설 이용은 인구통계학적 특성­성, 연령, 학력, 수입, 지역­에 따라 다르게 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of Chinese web novel users based on demographic factors. The results show that, firstly, male users in reading web novels were more than female users, especially the number of male users who invested more money in reading web novels was higher than female users. Secondly, the younger generation, especially the 20-30s, were the major users of web novels. Thirdly, college graduates were the main users of web novels, the strong sense of copyright protection and economic power make them become the most robust web novel users. Fourthly, students and workers read web novels more than other professionals. They read web novels to access the information, knowledge, and desire to relieve stress, which is necessary in the course of study and various tasks. Fifthly, the group with an average monthly income of 3,000­8,000 yuan was the largest user base of web novel. With the exception of the top and bottom tiers, they are more frequently in reading web novels because of the relatively high economic and purchasing power. Finally, urban residents who below the fourth-tier city were the main users. They are more likely to read web novels because they have more interests and leisure activities than large city residents. As a result, according to demographic factors -gender, age, educational background, income, and region, Chinese web novel users have different usage rates.
