국문 초록

본 연구는 노인 사회활동지원사업에 참여하는 노인의 일반적 특성, 노인 사회 활동 지원사업 참여유형 및 자아존중감이 노인의 심리적복지감에 미치는 영향이 어떠한지를 살펴 보는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 D시 노인복지관의 노인 일자리사업에 2013년~2014년 사이에 참여한 경험이 있는 65세 이상 남녀 노인 252명이며 설문조사를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 자료분석은 노인 사회활동지원사업에 참여하는 노인의 일반적 특성, 참여유형 및 자아존중감이 노인의 심리적복지감에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구를 통해 나타난 결과는 노인 사회활동 참여유형 중 전국형이 가장 많은 것 으로 나타났고, 노인 사회활동 참여유형 중 취업 및 창업형이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났다. 노인 사회활동 참여유형과 심리적복지감의 하위변인인 긍정적 복지감에서는 취업 및 창형의 경우 지역형과의 차이에서만 통계적으로 유의미한 것으로 나타났으며, 본인의 취업 및 경제적 생산 활동에 직접 임할 때 심리적복지감이 더 큰 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 본 연구는 노인 사회활동지원사업 참여노인의 심리적복지감 증진을 위한 정책 및 실천적 방안을 제시하고 있다.

영문 초록

This research is to find out how Social-Activity-Support Business(Elderly People’s Employment Types) affects elderly individuals’ mental health such as self-esteem and psychological stability. I surveyed 252 elderly people whose ages were above 65, who used to participate in various types of employment provided by D city Elderly People Welfare Center. Also, based on the gathered information, I analyzed via Multiple Regression Analysis. This analysis shows that elderly people’s employment including various social activities influences their mental health like psychological stability. So, employment(social activity) type is an important factor in forming elderly people’s healthy mind. Elderly people’s self-esteem have an influence on psychological stability. Thus, governmental organizations continually need to research various ways to increase their self-esteem which will contribute to their psychological stability by providing budget. Many elderly people would like to participate in an employment for social activities so far. However, our society is not providing enough activities. Thus, we need to create more employment opportunities of better salaries. This research result shows that elderly people’s job help improve their psychological stability. Therefore, we continually need to make an effort to learn about something to move forward to a better direction for making more senior-type jobs.
