영문 초록
A new FA interspecific hybrid lily “Salmon Bowl” was released by the National Horticultural Research Institute (NHRI) in 2004. A cross was made between Lilium formolongi “F1 Augusta”, a trumpet shaped and white petaled lily variety, and Lilium Asiatic hybrid “Menton”, a light-orange colored variety. The flower characteristics and performance of “Salmon Bowl” were examined from 2002 to 2004. “Salmon Bowl” flowers in late June, but can flower year-round by storing the bulb under -1 to -2℃ conditions. It has light-orange petals with weak fragrance. The width of flower is 14 cm. The weight and size of bulb are 28 g and 14.8 cm, respectively. For forcing culture, it is necessary to add calcium to the fertilizer or remove side scales to prevent leaf scorch. It is needed to control Botrytis disease in wet season.
