루터의 만인사제론과 한국교회의 개혁 과제

국문 초록

이 글은 종교개혁 500주년을 맞이하여 루터의 만인사제론에 대한 올바른 이해와 한국교회의 개혁과제를 제시하기 위해 쓰였다. 만인사제론에 대한 오해를 방지하기 위해 루터가 만인사제론을 내세울 때 사회적 종교적 상황을 살펴본 결과, 이 이론은 직제 개편을 위한 것이 아니라 교황과 교황청의 잘못에 대항하도록 세속적 권력을 가진 사람들에게 용기를 불어넣기 위한 표현임을 분명히 하였다. 일반인도 사제 역할을 할 수 있다는 의도는 전혀 아니었던 것이다. 종교적 지도자들이나 세속적 지도자들이나 차별 없이 모두 성령을 지닌 영적 존재라고 함으로써 교황의 잘못을 지적할 수 있다고 한 것이다. 만인사제론과 관련하여 한국교회의 개혁을 위해서는 다음과 같은 것을 제안하였다. 1) 세속적 지도자들이 종교적 지도자의 잘못을 지적하고 시정할 것을 요청하듯, 종교적 지도자들도 세속적 지도자들의 정책이나 행실의 문제가 있으면 지적하고 시정할 것을 요청할 것, 2) 한국 사회에 실추된 교회 이미지를 개선하기 위해 교회지도자들, 특히 목사들의 윤리적 범죄들(특히 성과 돈)에 대한 단호한 처벌을 강화할 것, 3) 악한 목회자에 속지 않기 위해, 목회자와 평신도 지도자들의 성경연구를 활성화할 것, 4) 목회자의 영적 독립성을 위해 목회자의 임금체제를 개교회가 아니라 노회나 총회 차원으로 이전할 것과 5) 교회의 민주적 운영을 위해 교회 다양한 계층의 대표자들로 당회를 구성할 것.

영문 초록

This paper aims to understand the theory “priesthood of all believers” of Martin Luther and to propose something to the Korean churches for the change the present condition. In order to understand the Intention of Luther I start to research the “priesthood of all believers” historisch. As the result of this research about the situation and intention of Luther wenn he asserted that all christians were priests, I can say Luther intended not to reorganize the church, but to appeal to the german nobles for the struggle against the Roman Church and the Pope. Luther didn t permit the lay believer to preach or give the sacred ceremony. I suggest something for the reform the Korean churches in connection with the “Priesthood of all believer.” 1) “Priesthood of all believers” of Martin Luther is a theory for the Streit against the Roman Katholic Church. As the political Leader should point the fault of the religious Leader, the religious leader should the fault of the political leader. 2) We have to take a drastic measure to the sexual and financial guilt of the church leader, expecially of the priest for the improvement of the image to the church. 3) We have to be active the study of the Bible to resist against the false teaching of the evil priest or the social system. 4) We have to change the salary schedule regulation of the priest for the independence of the priest from the serving church 5) We need to the new organization of the Consistory, not only with the elders, but also with the representatives of all parts of the church for the good understanding each other.
