국문 초록

철학과 신학의 멀어짐, ‘보이는 것’과 ‘보이지 않는 것’들에 혼재, 이 모든 것들이 인간 중심의 사유라는 거대한 긍정의 힘으로 포함되어 결국 ‘존재’에 관한 애매모호한 여러 가지 추측들이 쏟아지기 시작했다. 근·현대의 사상가들 에게 이 존재는 더 이상 세상을 창조한 유일한 무언가의 개념이 아닌, 그 반대로 세상이 필요로 하여 존재하는 것들의 세상이 되었다. 이러한 현상은 하이 데거의 존재론의 시대적 사상적 지배와 맞물려 ‘존재자’ 보다는 ‘존재’가, ‘의 미’보다는 ‘현상’이 더욱 중요해진 시대를 도래하게 만들었다. 한스 우르스 폰 발타살(Hans Urs von Balthasar)과 유대인 철학자로서 에마 뉘엘 레비나스(Emmanuele Levinas)는 제2차 세계 대전의 아픔과 시대의 비극을 고스란히 경험했던 대표적 사상가들이다. 이 두 사상가는 유럽의 철학과 독일의 정치가 빚어낸 전체주의의 파국을 목격했고, 이 폭력성과 그간의 주류 사상이었던 서양 철학이 보여 왔던 전체성의 철학이 무관한 것이 아님을 인지 했다. 본고는 폰 발타살과 레비나스의 사상을 중심으로 하느님과 인간, 인간과 인간, ‘나’와 ‘너’가 서로 공존하고 있지 못함에 대해 회의적으로 성찰한다. 하느님 존재 자체가 상실되고, 그 존재를 무관심으로 일관하는 인간과 세상을 회의적 관점에서 반성하며, 그 원인을 하느님과 인간 사이의 관계 단절, 인간과 인간 사이에 일어난 ‘타자성’(l’Alterità)의 상실이라는 관점에서 재해석 해보 고자 한다. 이러한 관점에서 폰 발타살 신학의 “하느님의 얼굴”과 레비나스의 철학의 “타인의 얼굴”에 관한 성찰은 그 가치가 있다. 이 두 사상가의 존재론은 형식 보다는 의미를 중시하는 또 다른 형이상학의 전환으로 그 중요함을 갖는다. 형이상학의 사라짐이 아닌, 기존의 신학과 철학이 오해 받았던 스콜라적이거나 하이데거의 철학적 사유에 흔들렸던 그 틀을 다시 잡아내는데 그 의미를 찾을 것이다.

영문 초록

Distance between philosophy and theology, mixture of ‘seeing’ and ‘not seeing’, all these are included in an immense positive power as to a human-centered reason. Eventually, there poured out various vague presumptions about ‘Being’. To the philosophers in modern and post-modern era, this ‘Being’ is no longer the concept of somebody who is the only, who creates the world. On the contrary, it became the world of ‘Beings’ because the world needed. Such a phenomena is interrelated with periodic, ideological domination of Heidegger’s ontology, it made to come the era which gave more importance to ‘being’ rather than ‘an ens’, ‘phenomenon’ rather than ‘meaning’. Hans Urs von Balthasar and a Jewish philosopher Emmanuele Levinas are the representative thinkers, who experienced the agony of the World War II and the tragedy of the era just as it is. These two thinkers witnessed the collapse of totalitarianism by the European philosophy and the German politics. And they recognized this violence and the philosophy of ‘wholeness’ which were showed by the Western philosophy, until then the main stream thinking, are not irrelevant. This study skeptically thinks about God and human, human and human, ‘I’ and ‘You’ are not co-existed each other, focusing on von Balthasar and Levinas thinking. This study reflects on human and the world that are consistent with indifference about losing God-himself existence and His Being in skeptical perspective, tried to reinterpret in the point of its cause is the relationship severance between God and human, the loss of ‘otherness’, which arose between human and human. In this point of view, the speculations of von Balthasar’s ‘the face of God’ and Livenas’ ‘the face of others’ are worth. The ontology of these two thinkers is having the importance as to switch to another metaphysical changeover. It is not the disappearance of metaphysics. It can be appreciated the meaning to rediscover the frame which is swayed by scholastic philosophy, which was misunderstood by the existed philosophy and Heidegger’s philosophy.
