국문 초록

본 연구 목적은 평가인증에 기초한 보육과정 구성과 어린이집 운영실태를 알아보고, 평가인증이 보육 과정 구성과 어린이집 운영의 자율성 제약에 미친 영향이 어떠한지 분석해 봄으로써 향후 평가인증에 대한 시사점을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 경기도 남부 지역에 소재한 어린이집 원장과 교사 380명을 대상으로 조사하였고, 설문지 320부를 유효자료로 통계처리 하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 평가인증에 기초한 보육과정 구성과 어린이집 운영의 실태를 살펴본 결과, 평가인증 지표를 어린이집 운영에 중요한 근거로 활용하였으며 지표에 맞춘 운영으로 인해 각 원의 특성을 반영한 고유한 프로그램을 구성 하기 어려운 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 평가인증이 보육과정 구성과 어린이집 운영의 자율성에 제약을 많이 미친 영역은 보육환경, 보육활동과 상호작용이 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 대부분의 어린이집에서 평가인증 지표에 의존하여 보육환경을 구성하는 것으로 나타났고, 영유아의 상황이나 수준을 고려하지 않고, 지표에 맞는 상호작용에 초점을 맞추는 경향이 있었다. 넷째, 평가인증 지표를 운영의 근거로 활용하지 않는 다고 응답한 교사들은 보육과정 구성 및 어린이집 운영의 자율성 제약을 보고하였다. 또한, 원 고유의 프로그램 운영과 자율성 제약 사이의 관련성도 발견되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of accreditation on autonomy limitations in daycare centers’ curriculum construction and management. By conducting the analysis, it was pursued to suggest implications for the future of daycare centers’ accreditation. For this purpose, a survey was conducted by 380 daycare center directors and teachers from southern areas of Gyeonggi. A total of 320 responses from the survey were used for statistical analyses. The results of this study were as follows. First, by analyzing the current status of daycare centers’ curriculum construction and management based on accreditation, it was found that accreditation indexes were used as an important basis. It was also revealed that each center’s unique program implementation was not easy because of accreditation-based management. Second, the impact of accreditation on autonomy limitations in daycare centers’ curriculum construction and management was found in several areas such as childcare environment, child care activities, and interaction. Third, most of the daycare centers are relying on accreditation indexes for construction of the childcare environment. However, they do not consider young children’s situations and developmental levels and tend to focus on interaction fitting into accreditation indexes. Fourth, Daycare center directors and teachers who are not utilizing accreditation indexes as management basis reported autonomy limitations in daycare centers’ curriculum construction and management. In addition, a relationship between each center’s unique program implementation and autonomy limitations was found.
