대학생의 대학몰입 형성 요인에 대한 질적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생의 대학몰입 형성 요인을 탐구함으로써, 대학기관의 대학몰입 향상을 위한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다. 질적연구방법을 사용한 4개 사립대학에 대한 연구 결과, 대학몰입을 형성하기 위한 요인은 (1) 대학 지원 프로그램 참여, (2) 대학의 행정적 지원, (3) 교수와 학생간 관계, (4) 학부교육의 질로 나타났다. 또 이러한 각 대학몰입 형성요인에 대해 관련 조건(예: 자신의 성장에 대한 도움 체감, 학생의 요구와 필요에 대해 바로 대응, 정성과 소통에 따른 신뢰 관계 구축, 교육철학의 반응 등)이 함께 갖추어졌을 때 대학몰입이 효과적으로 형성될 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 대학몰입 형성 및 향상을 위한 실천적 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to explore factors contributing to develop institutional commitment, thereby providing implications for higher education institutions to improve institutional commitment. Findings, using qualitative research methods with four private universities, showed that factors to develop institutional commitment are: (1) participation in universitysupported programs, (2) administrative support by university, (3) relationship between faculty and students, and (4) quality of undergraduate education. These factors were also conditional that they needed to be accompanied by relevant conditions to develop institutional commitment.　 Such conditions included students’ experiencing the helpfulness for their own growth, instant responses to students’ request and needs, trust building through sincerity and efforts, and reflection of educational philosophy. Based on these findings, this study provided practical implications to develop and enhance institutional commitment.
