국문 초록

본 연구는 한국어 추상명사 중 다의어와 반의어의 교수-학습 시 참고할 교수요목을 제시하는데 목적을 두었다. 한국어 교육에서 차지하는 어휘교육의 중요성에 따라 외국인 학습자를 위한 추상명사 교수―학습의 텍스트를 제공하기 위해서였다. 한국어 어휘에는 고유어·한자어·외래어가 역사와 언어문화를 배경으로 분포되어 있다. 그의미적 특성으로는 동의어·유의어·다의어·반의어를 들 수 있다. 추상명사는 어휘의 수량과 의미의 다양성에서 큰 비중을 차지하고 있다. 그러기에 한국어를 보다 세련되고 유창하게 구사 하기 위해서는 한국어를 구성하는 한자어·고유어·외래어를 상황에 맞게 사용할 수 있도록 폭넓게 익혀야 한다. 아울러 의미적 특성인 동의어·유의어·다의어·반의어에 대한 지식을 충분히 갖추어야 한다. 또 추상명사의 다의적 의미를 숙지하고 적절히 사용할 수 있어야 한다. 이에 따라 한국어의 의미적 특성을 동의어, 유의어, 다의어, 반의어로 분류하고 이 중 다의 어와 반의어를 각각 추상명사에 대입해 다의어 추상명사, 반의어 추상명사로 재분류하는 한편, 추상명사의 기능과 역할, 다의성에 대해 고찰했다. 아울러 고유어 추상명사, 한자어 추상명사, 외래어 추상명사와 연계해서 추상명사 중 반의어와 다의어에 대해 고찰했다. 이는 외국인 한국어 학습자를 위한 한국어 추상명사 교수요목을 체계적으로 제시하기 위해 서였다. 덧붙이자면 추상명사를 주제로 한 어휘교육, 나아가 한국어 교육의 텍스트를 제시하기 위해서였다. 그 성과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 한국어 어휘의 의미적 특성을 동의어·유의어·다의어·반의어로 분류하고 그 중 다의어와 반의어에 대한 로드맵을 제시했다 2. 이를 추상명사와 연계해 중심적 의미에서 파생된 주변적 의미의 확산 내용을 고찰했다. 3. 한국어 추상명사를 구성하는 한자어 추상명사·고유어 추상명사·외래어 추상명사를 각각 다의어와 반의어로 재분류해 말뭉치의 의미적 특성에 대해 정리했다. 4. 한국어 다의어 추상명사와 반의어 추상명사의 전반적 교수요목을 체계화해 추상명사 교수 -학습 시 참고할 일련의 텍스트로 제시했다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to propose a syllabus of abstract noun polysemy and antonym in the Korean language to be used for teaching-learning. It is intended to provide teaching-learning text of abstract nouns for foreign learners according to the importance of vocabulary education in Korean language education. Korean vocabularies include native words, words of Chinese origin, and loanwords based on history and language culture. Semantic characteristics include synonym, polysemy and antonym. Abstract nouns are a big part in terms of quantity of vocabularies and diversity of meanings. To be able to speak the Korean language in a more sophisticated and fluent way, it is necessary to widely utilize words of Chinese origin, native words and loanwords according to situation. Moreover, individuals must have sufficient knowledge in semantic characteristics of synonym, polysemy and antonym. They should also understand and use polysemy of abstract nouns. Accordingly, after classifying semantic characteristics of the Korean language into synonym, polysemy and antonym, polysemy and antonym were substituted into abstract nouns to reclassify them into abstract noun polysemy and abstract noun antonym. Functions, roles and polysemic properties of abstract noun were examined. Furthermore, antonym and polysemy of abstract noun were discussed in connection with abstract nouns in native words, abstract nouns in words of Chinese origin, and abstract nouns in loanwords. The intent was to systematically propose a syllabus of abstract nouns in the Korean language for foreign Korean language learners and to provide text in vocabulary education and Korean language education on the theme of abstract noun. The results of this study can be summarized as below. 1. Semantic characteristics of Korean vocabularies were classified into synonym, polysemy and antonym, providing a roadmap for polysemy and antonym. 2. Diffusion of peripheral meanings that derive from central meanings of abstract nouns was discussed. 3. Abstract nouns in words of Chinese origin, abstract nouns in native words and abstract nouns in loanwords constituting abstract nouns of the Korean language were reclassified into polysemy and antonym to summarize semantic characteristics of corpus. 4. Overall syllabus of abstract noun polysemy and abstract noun antonym in the Korean language was systematized to provide a series of text to be used for teaching-learning of abstract nouns.
