국문 초록

본 연구는 한국어와 베트남어의 자음 체계를 대조·분석하여 베트남인 학습자들의 한국어 평음, 경음 격음의 발음 유형을 분석하고 실제 실험을 통해 베트남인 학습자의 한국어 평음, 경음, 격음의 발음 양상을 분석하여 한국어 발음 교육의 기초를 마련하는데 목적을 둔다. 이 연구에서는 그동안 활발히 연구되어 온 영어권, 중국어권 학습자가 아닌 베트 남어권의 학습자를 중심으로 베트남어와 한국어의 자음 체계를 대조·분석하여 알아 보고 분석 결과에 나타난 차이점을 가지고 베트남인 학습자들의 한국어 발음의 오류를 예측해본다. 또한 예측한 오류의 내용을 토대로 베트남인 학습자들의 실제 발음의 양상을 분석하여 발음 교육 연구의 기초를 마련하는데 교육적 가치와 목적을 둔다. 연구의 순서는 1장에서 본 연구의 목적과 필요성을 밝히고 선행 연구자들의 연구 내용을 살펴봄으로써 이 연구가 나아가야 할 방향과 방법을 모색한다. 2장에서는 한국어와 베트남어의 자음 체계를 알아보고 두 나라의 자음 체계를 비교·분석하여 베트남인 학습자들이 한국어 발음 시 나타날 오류 유형을 예측하여 살펴본다. 3장에서는 2장에서 살펴본 베트남인 학습자의 한국어 발음 오류 예측 중 하나인 베트남어는 유성음:무성음의 대립관계로 한국어의 평음:경음:격음의 삼지적 대립관 계를 인지하고 발음하기 어려울 것이라는 예측을 실제 한국에서 유학중인 베트남인 학습자들을 대상으로 목표 발음인 한국어 평음, 경음, 격음의 발음 인지와 발화 실험을 통해 학습자들의 발음 오류를 확인하고 그 결과와 예측한 발음 오류 유형을 비교·분석하여 살펴보고자 한다. 4장에서는 본 연구의 내용을 요약·정리하고 본 연구의 한계점과 보완점을 다음의 과제로 남기며 앞으로 한국어 교육 연구가 베트남인 학습자뿐만 아니라 타 언어권의 학습자를 위해 활발히 이루어져야 함을 제언한다.

영문 초록

In the present study, a comparative analysis of Korean and Vietnamese consonant systems was conducted aimed at presenting teaching and learning methods by which Korean pronunciation can be effectively learned by Vietnamese students. The comparative analysis of Vietnamese and Korean consonant systems centered on Vietnamese students studying in South Korea rather than English- or Chinese-speaking learners, on whom there has been much active research, and the results were used to predict Korean pronunciation errors of Vietnamese students. In addition, based on the content of the predicted errors, the aspects of actual pronunciation of Vietnamese learners are analyzed, laying the foundation for the study of pronunciation education, with educational values and objectives. The study is structured as follows. Chapter 1 identified the purpose and necessity of the study and searched for direction and methods by reviewing previous studies. In Chapter 2, Korean and Vietnamese consonant systems were investigated and the type of errors made by Vietnamese students when they pronounce Korean were predicted and examined by comparatively analyzing the consonant systems of the two countries. In Chapter 3, the predicted difficulty of recognizing the three confrontational consonants of Korean lenis, fortis, and aspirated consonants was attributed to the different confrontational consonants for the voiced and the voiceless in Vietnamese. They were identified through perception and articulation experiments of Korean lenis, fortis, and aspirated consonants on Vietnamese students, and the results were comparatively analyzed with the predicted pronunciation error types. Chapter 4 summarized the overall contents of the present study, discussed its limitations, and suggested the future supplementation required. In addition, active research on Korean language education not only for Vietnamese students but also for other language users was suggested.
