북한이탈주민의 회복탄력성이 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 북한이탈주민을 대상으로 회복탄력성, 포커싱적 태도, 외상 후 성장의 관계를 알아보고, 회복탄력성이 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향에서 포커싱적 태도의 하위요인이 매개효과로써 외상 후 성장에 작용하는지 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 서울에 소재하는 교회 및 대학 동아리 모임을 방문하여 북한이탈주민 102명에게 회복탄력성 척도 KRQ-53(Korean resilience quotient), 포커싱적 태도 척도(Korean Focus-ing Manner Scale Revised: KFMS-R), 외상 후 성장 척도(Posttraumatic Growth Inventory; PTGI)를 사용하여 설문지를 배포한 후 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인구통계학적 특성에 따른 회복탄력성, 포커싱적 태도, 외상 후 성장의 차이검증의 결과, 연령에서는 30대가 회복탄력성이 유의하게 높았고, 성별에서는 여자가 남자보다 포커싱적 태도가 유의하게 높았으며, 학력이 높은 수준의 참 가자, 기혼자, 경제 수준이 조금 어렵다고 보고한 참가자가 포커싱적 태도의 하위변인에서 유의하게 더 높았다. 둘째, 회복탄력성, 포커싱적 태도, 외상 후 성장의 각 변인 간 상관분석의 결과, 회복탄력성은 외상 후 성장과 정적 상관이 나타났으며, 포커싱적 태도의 하위변인 중 알아 차리기와는 부적상관이 나타났고, 표현하기와는 정적 상관이 나타났다. 또한 포커싱적 태도의 하위 변인 중 표현하기는 외상 후 성장과 정적 상관이 나타났다. 셋째, 회복탄력성이 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향에서 포커싱적 태도가 매개하는지 알아본 결과, 회복탄력성의 하위변인 중 자기조절능력이 포커싱적 태도의 하위 변인 중 표현하기를 부분 매개하여 외상 후 성장에 이르는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 따라서 본 연구는 북한이탈주민의 회복탄력성이 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향에서 포커싱적 태도의 매개효과를 살펴봄으로써, 북한이탈주민이 외상이나 스트레스를 경험하더라도 회복탄력성이 높을수록 외상 후 성장에 잘 이르게 된다는 것과 외상경험으로 인한 기능 손상, 적응의 어려움을 겪고 있을 때, 자기조절능력을 발휘하고 포커싱적 태도로 자신의 정서를 잘 인식하고 표현한다면 외상 이후에도 긍정적인 변화와 성장에 이룰 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between resilience, focusing manner and post-traumatic growth of North Korean refugees and to identify if lower factor of focusing manners was affected to post-traumatic growth as a mediating effect from the aftermath on post-traumatic growth by resilience. For this purpose, I visited churches and college clubs in Seoul to distribute the questionnaire to 102 North Korean refugees and analyzed them using the resilience measure KRQ-53 (Korean resilience quotient), the Focusing Manner Scale Revised (KFMS-R), and the Post-traumatic Growth Inventory (PTGI).The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, according to the demographic characteristics, at age, resilience was significantly high in 30s. By gender, woman had significantly higher focusin manners than men. A highly -educated participants, married person, participants who reported that the economic level was a bit difficult had significantly higher focusing manners in the sub-variables. Second, from the results of correlation analysis for the factors, between the variables of the resilience, focusing manners, post-traumatic growth, resilience was positively correlated with Post-traumatic growth, and negatively correlated with recognition, which is the lower factors of focusing manner. There was a positive correlation with the expression between lower factors of focusing manners. Also, the expression, which is the lower of factors of focusing manner has showed a positive correlation with post-traumatic growth. Third, as a result of reviewing the mediating effects on the post-traumatic growth by resilience, self regulation ability among lower factors of resilience has a partial mediating effect on expression among lower factors of focusing manner. Therefore, this study examines the mediating effect of the focusing manner on the post-traumatic growth of resilience of North Korean refugees - the more the resilience of North Korean refugees experiences trauma or stress, the better the post-traumatic growth. If the person is suffering from functional impairment due to traumatic experience, difficulty in adaptation, and if he or she is well aware of the emotions with a focusing manner, he or she will be able to demonstrate self-growth and achieve positive change and growth.
