국문 초록

본 연구는 일본 수업연구의 발현과 그 전개 과정을 고찰함으로써 일본의 독자적인 수업연구의 연원과 특징을 밝히는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 1860년대∼1960년대에 일본에서 이루어진 수업연구의 사적 전개 과정을 문헌연구를 통해 중점적으로 고찰하였다. 일본에서는 1872년 근대학교가 성립하고 제도화되면서 교육내용에 대한 정비와 함께 수업과 수업연구가 이루어지기 시작하면서 발전되어 왔다. 일본의 수업연구에 대하여 검토한 결과 다음의 세 가지 특징이 상호 유기적인 관계 속에서 발전해 왔음을 포착할 수 있었다. 첫째, 교육개혁을 위한 수업실천과 그 기록의 축적이 일본 수업연구의 발판이 되고 있다. 둘째, 연구자와 실천가의 상호 연계를 통한 수업연구가 일찍부터 진행되고 있었다는 점이다. 셋째, 수업연구가 개별적 차원의 실천에 그치지 않고 운동의 형태로 진행되었다는 점이다. 이러한 양상은 수업연구가 미진한 우리나라에서는 찾아 보기 어려운 것으로, 향후 우리나라 수업연구 발전에 중요한 논의의 단초를 제공하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to identify the origin of Japan’s independent lesson study by examining the beginning of Japan’s lesson study and its development. To meet the research objective, this study mainly examined the historical development of lesson study in Japan between 1860s~1960s through literature review. Modern Japanese Education was established and institutionalized in 1872, and lesson study began to emerge and developed. As a result of the research, it was found that the following three characteristics have developed in a mutually organic relationship. First, lesson practice for educational reform and the accumulation of its record are becoming the foundation of Japan’s lesson study. Second, lesson study has been conducted through the connection between researchers and practitioners since earlier on. Third, lesson study has been carried out as a movement of a private educational organization rather than an individual practice. In conclusion, these aspects give a significant implication on the development of lesson study which is rarely found in Korea that considerably lacks lesson study.
