부활에 대한 현대 신학적 담론들의 지형도

국문 초록

예수의 부활은 역사적 사건인가 아닌가? 제자들의 예수 부활 체험은 무엇을 의미하는가? 부활 체험은 주관적인 것인가 아니면 객관적인 것인가? 즉, 부활 체험의 인식론적 구조는 어떤 것인가? 부활을 믿는다는 것은 도대체 무엇을 의미하는가? 부활 신앙의 구체적 내용은 무엇인가? 예수의 부활은 우리의 부활에 대해 어떤 함의를 갖는가? 예수 부활의 신학적 의미는 무엇인가? 부활은 예수 그리스도의 정체성에 대해 어떤 의미를 지니 는가? 부활은 종말론적 차원에서 무엇을 의미하는가? 이처럼 예수 부활에 관한 질문들은 다양한 관점에서 다양한 방식으로 전개될 수 있다. 이 논문은 부활에 대한 새로운 이해와 해석을 구축하려는 현대 신학의 노력들을 조망하면서, 현대 서구 신학에서 논의되고 있는 부활의 이해와 해석에 관한 다양한 접근 방식들을 주제별로 소개하고 그 방법적 특성을 관점별로 정돈함으로서 부활에 대한 현대 신학적 담론들의 지형도를 그리 고자 한다. 부활에 대한 신학적 담론들은 크게 분류해서 성서신학적, 조직 신학적, 기초신학적 관점으로 구별될 수 있다. 거칠게 말한다면, 성서신학자들은 과거의 부활 사건(the resurrection in the past)에 대해 이야기 해왔다고 볼 수 있다. 전통적인 조직신학자들은 예수 부활의 구원론적 의미에 대해 말해왔다. 오늘의 신학자들은 그 둘을 모두 포함하면서 동시에 미래의 부활(resurrection in the future)에 대해 말해야 한다. 새로운 인문학적 사조와 특히 20세기 후반 과학의 발전에 따른 생명에 대한 새로운 이해는 부활에 대한 전통적 견해들을 설득력 없는 공허한 설명으로 만들 위기를 초래했다. 인문학과 과학의 도전 속에서 그리스도교 신학은 부활에 대한 이해와 해석을 새로운 방식과 새로운 상상력을 통해 재구성해야 한다는 요청에 직면하고 있다. 따라서 현대 신학자들은 현대의 인문학적 사유와 부활에 대한 전통적인 신학의 사유의 균형을 찾으면서 부활의 현대적 해석과 의미를 탐구하고 있다.

영문 초록

Is Jesus’ resurrection a historical event or not? What does the disciples’ experience of the resurrection of Jesus mean? Is the resurrection experience subjective or objective? In other words, what is the epistemological structure of the resurrection experience? What does it mean to believe in resurrection? What is the specific content of the resurrection faith? What implications does Jesus’ resurrection have for our resurrection? What is the theological significance of the resurrection of Jesus? What does resurrection mean to the identity of Jesus Christ? What does resurrection mean on the eschatological level? As such, questions about the resurrection of Jesus can be developed in various ways from various perspectives. This paper introduces various approaches to the understanding and interpretation of the resurrection that are discussed in contemporary Western theology, with a view to the efforts of modern theology to establish a new understanding and interpretation of the resurrection. We want to present a topography of contemporary theological discourses on the resurrection in terms of its methodological characteristics and theological perspectives. Theological discourses on the resurrection can be broadly classified into biblical, systematic, and fundamental theological perspectives. Roughly speaking, biblical theologians have been talking about the resurrection in the past. Traditional systematic theologians have talked about the salvific significance of the resurrection of Jesus. Today’s theologians should include both of them and talk about the resurrection in the future. A new understanding of life through new humanities and the development of science, especially in the latter half of the twentieth century, has created a crisis that makes traditional perspectives on the resurrection an empty and incomprehensible explanation. In the challenges of humanities and science, Christian theology is faced with the need to reconstruct understanding and interpretation of the resurrection through new ways and new imaginations. Therefore, contemporary theologians explore the modern interpretation and meaning of the resurrection while seeking a balance between the traditional humanistic reason and the traditional theological reason for the resurrection.
