전문대학 기관변인이 지역별 취업성과에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 전문대학 기관변인이 지역(수도권과 비수도권)에 따라 취업성과에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 전문대학 기관변인은 대학재정, 교육여건 및 영향변인으로 선정하였으며 종속변인인 취업성과는 취업률로 선정하여 분석을 실시하였다. 분석대상은 2013년~2015년 자료가 모두 공개되어 있는 사립 전문대학 120개교를 대상으로 하였으며, 연구방법은 다변량잠재성장모형을 활용하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수도권 대학은 교육비와 교육비 환원율, 그리고 재정지원사업 수혜 금액이 취업률에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었지만, 비수도권 대학은 취업률에 영향을 미치는 교육재정변인이 없는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 수도권 대학은 전임교원 확보율과 전임교원 1인당 학생 수가 취업률에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났지만, 비수도권 대학은 전임교원 확보율과 전임교원 1인당 학생 수가 취업률에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 분석되었다. 마지막으로 중도탈락률 초기값은 수도권 대학과 비수도권 대학 모두 취업률 초기값에 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 추가적으로 비수도권 대학은 중도탈락률 초기값이 장기적으로 취업률 변화에 있어서는 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 결국, 수도권과 비수도권 전문대학의 경우, 취업과 관련된 외적인 상황들이 지역별로 상이하므로 그에 맞는 재정의 활용과 교육여건 조성이 필요함을 알 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the institutional factors of vocational college on employment outcomes on college graduates by region. For this study, financial status and the educational condition of the vocational college were selected as an institutional factor. Employment rate was considered to represent employment outcome which is a dependent variable of this study. This study uses the method of multivariate latent growth curve modeling to analyze 120 private vocational colleges which has years 2013~15 information open to the public. The main result of this study is as follows. First, educational expenses, educational restitution rate, and governmental financial aid have positive effects on the employment outcome for vocational Colleges in the metropolitan area. However, none of the institutional factors of vocational Colleges in the non-metropolitan area had an effect on employment outcome. Second, the full-time faculty procurement rate and number of students per full-time faculty had a positive effect on the employment outcome for vocational Colleges in the metropolitan area while this is not applicable for vocational Colleges in the non-metropolitan area. Lastly, the early drop-out rate of vocational Colleges in both metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas had a negative effect on employment outcome. Additionally, for vocational Colleges in a non-metropolitan area, early drop-out rates affects employment outcome positively in the long term. The main results show employment outcomes varies according to the regions. Therefore, it is necessary to have a suitable plan to utilize college financing and creating educational conditions in accordance to the location of the college.
