국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 Antonovsky의 건강생성이론에 따라 자살생각과 통합력의 연관성의 검증하고 통합력을 향상시킬 수 있는 일반적 저항자원으로서 사회적 지지를 규명하는 데 있다. 본 연구를 위하여 2010년 서울시 복지패널자료를 활용하였고, 18세 이상의 성인을 대상으로 최종 대상자수는 2,357명으로 하였다. 이 연구의 분석은 두 부분으로 나눠지는 데, 첫 번째는 인구·사회·심리적 요인(성별, 연령, 결혼상태, 교육수준, 소득수준, 우울 정도)을 통제하고도 통합력이 자살생각에 영향을 미치는지 검증하였고, 두 번째는 일반적 저항자원으로서 사회적 지지(지각된 사회적 지지, 사회참여)가 긍정적 영향을 미치는 지를 규명하였다. 이를 위해 최종적으로 위계적 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 통합력은 인구·사회·심리적 요인을 통제하였음에도 불구하고 여전히 자살생각에 강력한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 통합력은 우울증이 자살생각에 미치는 영향의 크기를 줄이는 완충효과를 나타냈다. 둘째, 비교적 높은 수준의 지각된 사회적 지지와 사회참여수준이 통합력을 향상시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 하면 자살생각은 물론 우울증을 줄이기 위해 통합력을 향상시키는 것이 필요하다. 또한 이러한 통합력을 향상시키기 위해 사회적 지지와 같은 일반적 저항자원의 개발에 정책적 노력을 기울여야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study is to examine on the relationship between suicidal thought and Sense ofCoherence (SOC) and to identify social support as General Resistant Resources (GRRs) for improving SOC. For the study, Seoul Welfare Panel Study (SWPS, 2010) was analyzed and final sample is consists of 2,357 individuals aged 18 and over. This study consisted of two parts. First is to verify that SOC has an impact on suicidal thought, even though social structural·psychological factors(sex, age, marital state, education level, income level and depression) were controlled. Second is to examine whether social support (perceived social support and social participation) has a positive influence on increasing SOC as GRRS. For this analysis, hierarchical logistic regression was lastly conducted. The main results of this study were as follows. First, SOC has on great positive effects on decreasing suicidal thought; moreover SOC can decrease impacts of depression on suicidal thought. Second, it was confirmed that comparatively high level of social support, social participation are the factors for promoting SOC. Based on the results, suggestions might be done that GRRS, such as social support should be developed as policy because SOC is necessary to reduce suicidal as well as depression.
