영문 초록

Present paper describes the current situation of recently identified zoonosis, including potential infectious diseases of public health importance, and its origin of emergence. Newly emerging diseases, though infectious characteristics, be a unperdictable challenge for public health. In addition, once forgotten risks of the old diseases can be a serious load for human life through unexpected occurrence. The epidemiological trend of emerging diseases require not only a passive surveillance, but more extensive monitoring, research and infrastructure system for efficient prevention.
