국문 초록

본 연구는 서울시에 특성화고 성적 블라인드 선발이 도입된 가운데 실태를 점검하고 개선방향을 도출한 후 이에 따른 중학교 진로교육의 과제를 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 본 논문에서는, 연구진이 2017년도 9월부터 수행한 서울시 교육청의 ‘서울시 미래인재전형 안착을 위한 연구’의 조사결과의 일부를 활용하였다. 조사에서는 첫째, 성적 블라인드 선발을 경험한 서울시 70개 특성화고의 고1재학생들의 진로준비경험을 조사하였다. 둘째 성적블라인드 선발에 면접관으로 참여한 교사를 대상으로 현황과 요구를 인터뷰 조사하였다. 셋째 조사의 결과를 토대로 면접문항개발을 하고 이를 적용한 면접평가를 관찰하였다. 본 연구의 결과, 다음과 같은 특징과 개선안을 발견하였다. 첫째, 현재 특성화고 재학생 중 많은 수가 소질과 적성을 중시하는 특성화고의 취지에 맞는 진학동기를 가지고 있으나 충분한 진로준비경험을 가지고 있지는 않다. 둘째, 특성화고 교사들은 성적블라인드 선발에서 기초학력평가에 대한 요구가 높다. 그러나 소질·적성 등에 대하여는 평가방법이나 도구 등의 자원이 부족하다고 판단한다. 그러므로 현재의 성적블라인드선발에는 평가요소의 불균형과, 중학교와 고등학교간에 평가요소에서의 일관성 부재의 문제가 있다. 이를 개선하기 위해서는 중학교에서는 평가요소가 되는 소질 적성을 진로준비경험을 통하여 자율적으로 발견하도록 프로그램을 마련하여야 한다. 특성화고등학교에서는 기초학력과 더불어 소질 및 적성관련의 진로준비활동을 해온 경험을 성취요소로 평가할 수 있도록 기초학력평가와는 구별되는 평가방법을 마련하여야 한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the current school score blind admission policy of the vocational high school, find out the opportunity areas of those, and suggests tasks how to execute middle school’s career education program to match current the vocational high school’s admission process. In this paper, the research team utilized results of the commissioned research on Seoul Metropolitan office of education related to the vocational high school admission policy in 2017. For this study, First, career preparation experiences of students in 70 vocational high schools who enter schools through the current blind admission process was surveyed. Second, Interviewed teachers in 6 vocational high schools who participated the blind admission process about the situation and needs of current admission process. Third, based on the results of the survey, interview questions were developed and the research team participated and observed the pilot test of admission interview using the developed interview questionnaires. The results of the study are as follows. First, many of the vocational high school students had motivations to match current vocational high school’s education purpose. However, Students didn’t have enough career preparation experience in middle school. Second, the vocational high school teachers thought the basic academic ability is important to select students However, it is judged that there is Also, teachers had the perceptions that applicants’ talent and aptitude are difficult to evaluate. Therefore, current blind admission process had unbalanced and inconsistent issues about evaluation factors between middle schools and vocational high schools. In order to improve those issues, middle schools need to prepare career education programs which enables students accumulate his or her own career related experience. Also, the vocational high schools need to develop the student evaluation methods to include their career preparation efforts in evaluation factors.
