국문 초록

본 논문의 목적은 볼프의“알라와 하나님은 동일한 신이다”라는 전제적 명제를 반박하기 위함이다. 볼프는 알라와 하나님이‘동일 신’이라고 전제하지 만, 결국 삼위일체 하나님의 교리가 옳다고 주장한다. 이것은 그가 알라와 하나님에 관한‘신관념’차이를 부정하기보다는, 단순히 유일신론(Monotheism) 이라는 공통분모를 통해‘신존재’에 관한 기능적 접근을 한 것임을 보여준다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 볼프의 주장은 개혁주의 신학의 관점에서 다음 세 가지의 비평을 피할 수 없다. 첫째, 볼프 주장의 전제적 오류는 형식(form)과 내용 (meaning)을 구분하듯 신의 존재와 관념을 서로 분리할 수 없다는 점이다. 이점에서, 그의 연구방법론은 문화기능주의(cultural functionism)를 전제했음을알 수 있다. 둘째, 볼프의 주장과는 달리 종교개혁자인 루터와 칼빈은 이슬람과 기독교의 관계에 대해서 비연속성(discontinuity)을 주장한다. 마지막으로 성경과 꾸란을 통한 기독교와 이슬람의 신관 비교이다. 대체적으로 하나님과 알라는 세 가지의 중대한 차이를 보여주는데, 그것은‘속성’(attribute),‘ 계시 유형’(mode of revelation) 그리고‘구원방식’(the way of salvation)이다. 이와 같이 본 논문은 볼프의 전제적 오류와 종교개혁자들의 이슬람에 관한 신학적 관점을 살핀 후 두 종교의 신적 속성에 관한 차이를 밝힌다. 이것은 개혁주의 신학 관점에서 타종교권에서의 적절한 상황화 선교전략을 제시한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to refute the premise of Volf, which states “Allah and God are the same god.” Volf asserts that Allah and God are ‘the same god,’ but ultimately the doctrine of the Trinity God is correct. This shows that he took a functional approach to the existence of gods through the concept of monotheism, rather than denying the difference between God and Allah. Nonetheless, Volf s claim cannot avoid the following three criticisms from the perspective of Reformed theology. First, an error in Volf’s premise is that he cannot separate the existence and idea of god apart as one cannot separate the form and the meaning. This shows that his research methodology presupposes cultural functionalism. Second, unlike Volf’s claims, the reformers, Luther and Calvin, argued for discontinuity in the relationship between Islam and Christianity. Finally, the differences are shown in the Bible and Quran. On the whole, God and Allah show three important differences: ‘attribute’, ‘mode of revelation’ and ‘way of salvation.’ The present study explores the difference between the divine attributes of the two religions after examining the theological errors of Volf and the theories of reformers on Islamic religion. This is expected to present an appropriate mission strategy for contextualization in cross-cultural and religious circumstances.
