중국소설 과목의 캡스톤 디자인 수업 환경에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 논문에서는 캡스톤 디자인 과정으로 운영되는 중국소설 과목의 수업환경이 수업의 결과에 미치는 영향에 대해 고찰한다. 본래 캡스톤 디자인은 공학 교육과정에서 사용되는 개념이었으나 이 개념이 인문학에 도입된 후, 인문학 관련 각 수업들에서는 서로 이질적인 두 층위를 접합시키는 시도를 꾸준히 진행하고 있다. 그 중 캡스톤 디자인 교육과정과 중국소설 과목의 만남은 중국소설 교육을 통해 학생들이 문제를 제기하고 스스로 해답을 도출해 내며, 나아가 중국소설 기반의 산출물을 생산해내는 것을 목적으로 한다. 캡스톤 디자인 교육과정에 근간한 중국소설 과목의 수업 환경은 공유정신 모형과 상호수행 모니터링, 그리고 개인의 창의성에 의해 큰 영향을 받는다. 또한 중국소설 과목의 수업 환경은 우리나라 학생들만으로 구성된 단일 팀의 경우와 우리나라 및 중국인 학생의 혼합 팀의 경우에 따라 서로 상이한 조건으로 조성된다. 이 가운데 우리나라 학생들로만 구성된 중국소설 과목에서는 공유정신모형, 상호수행 모니터링, 개인의 창의성 면에서 모두 평균 이상의 수업환경이 구성되고 이에 따른 캡스톤 디자인 수업 결과물도 평균을 웃도는 성과를 산출해 낼 수 있다. 이에 비해 중국인 학생과의 혼합 팀으로 구성된 중국소설 과목에서는 공유정신모형, 상호수행 모니터링의 단계에서 교수자의 개입이 없는 경우 평균 이하의 결과치를 도출해 낸다. 그러나 교수자의 개입을 전제로 할 경우, 개인의 창의성을 발휘하는 단계에서 중국인 학생과의 혼합 팀 수업환경은 우리나라 학생들로만 이루어진 단일 팀 구성의 수업환경에 비해 훨씬 큰 만족도와 결과물을 산출해 낼 수 있다. 이는 중국학생 자체가 지닌 중국소설과 중국문화에 대한 기본적인 이해도, 나아가 모국어로서의 중국어 활용능력이 캡스톤 디자인 결과물 창출에 직접적인 영향을 미치기 때문이다. 따라서 캡스톤 디자인 교육 과정에 의거하여 효과적으로 중국소설 과목을 운영하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 수업의 구성원을 이질적인 집단으로 구성했을 때, 예를 들어 내외국인 학생의 혼합 팀, 또는 서로 다른 전공의 혼합 팀 등으로 수업환경을 조성했을 때 가장 다양하고 의미있는 산출물이 나온다는 결론에 도달한다. 다만 이 과정에서 수업 환경 조성을 위한 교수자의 개입은 필수적인 요소로 작용해야만 한다.

영문 초록

On this thesis, it is about Capstone Design course that analyze how Chinese novel’s classroom circumstance influence on result of the class. Primarily, Capstone design was meant to be used in engineering course study, yet when it imposed on literature, all of the related courses on literature make an attempt on connecting two different kinds of area. Among the area of Capstone Design course, the meeting with Chinese novel makes the students to present a problem and deducting solution in order to produce an output based on Chinese novel. The classroom circumstance based on Capstone Design is affected by Shared mental model, Mutual performance monitoring and Individual creativity. Also, Chinese Novel Class composed of only Korean students and mixed team with Chinese shows different classroom circumstance. Between two teams, the only Korean students team shows comparatively high result in Shared mental model, Mutual performance monitoring and Individual creativity, which directly connected to bigger satisfaction and output. On the other hand, mixed team with Chinese shows comparatively low result in Shared mental model, Mutual performance monitoring and Individual creativity. Although, mixed team shows low result, when the professor is subject to an involvement, the moment of the students proves their real worth in creativity, satisfaction and the result are much higher than single organization of Korean students. This means that the understanding of Chinese culture and even beyond the way of utilization ability in Chinese are highly influenced in the process of creating Capstone Design. Therefore, on the basis of the Capstone Design education course, manage the Chinese novel is needed to organize students from many different areas. In conclusion, Korean and foreign students team or students from different major make the class circumstance more diverse and creating significant output. Yet, constructing wholesome class circumstance, involvement by the instructor in Charge of Capstone Design is inevitable.
