국문 초록

2008년은 양안관계에 있어 특별한 해로 평가된다. 양안관계는 대만의 미래뿐만 아니라 중국인 모두가 관심을 갖는 문제인 동시에, 동북아지역의 주변국을 포함한 국제적 이슈 중 하나이기도 하다. 마잉지우 총통이 정권을 장악한 이후, 국공 양당은 일정한 정치적 합의점을 이루어 냈다. 이는 양안관계에 대한 예측가능성을 높이고 있다는 점에서 주목할 만하다. 중국정부는 대만이슈의 안정적 관리를 중시 하고 있다. 이는 아시아태평양지역에 있어 미국의 국익과도 일치한다는 것을 뜻한 다. 결국 대만이슈는 중국과 미국의 공동이익과 이익충돌의 주요한 요인이라 평가할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 동북아체제에 있어 대만 요인이 피동적 행위체에서 능동적 행위체로 변화하고 있음을 파악했다. 그리고 이러한 변화가 동북아체제에 있어 양안의 영향력 확대를 야기할 개연성이 높을 것으로 예측하고 있다.

영문 초록

The year 2008 spells a vital one for the future relationship development between China and Taiwan. This also meant that it will be a year of complication and restlessness for the Taiwan Straits. To which direction China and Taiwan relation is going is not only an issue much focused by all Chinese, it also became a focal point among the Northeast Asian neighbouring countries as well as the rest of the world. When Mr. Ma Ying-jeou became the new leader of Taiwan, based on the common political understanding reached between the Guomindang and Communist Party, the China-Taiwan relation is anticipated to gradually stabilize. The government of China desired that stability could be maintained in the Taiwan Straits, hoping that tension will not arise, which is the same objective as the US has for Asia Pacific region. With regards to the issue of the Taiwan Straits, China and the US have both common as well as conflicting interests. This dissertation will prove that the Taiwan issue in the whole of Northeast Asia is changing from being reactive to proactive, and that China and Taiwan ’s influence in the Northeast Asia will increase in time to come.
