초등학생이 인식한 부모의 양육태도와 문화자본 관계 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 부모의 양육태도와 초등학생의 문화자본과의 관계를 밝히기 위하여 초등학생 272명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 양육태도는 민주적, 과보호적, 권위적, 거부적 양육태도로 구분하였고, 문화자본은 객관적 문화자본과 체화된 문화자본으로 구분하였다. 회수된 설문지를 상관관계분석, t검증, MANOVA 분석을 하였고, 도출된 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모가 민주적, 과보호적 양육태도를 가진 경우, 초등학생의 문화자본도 높았다. 특히 민주적 양육태도를 가진 경우, 문화자본이 가장 높았다. 둘째, 부모가 거부적 양육태도를 가진 경우, 초등학생의 문화자본은 감소하였다. 셋째, 부모의 민주적 양육태도가 강할수록 문화자본은 증가하였다. 넷째, 거부적 양육태도가 강할수록 문화자본은 감소하였다. 이러한 결과는 문화자본과 양육태도가 상호 긴밀히 연계되어 있으며, 양육태도 및 문화자본 형성의 방향성을 제시해 주고 있다.

영문 초록

This study surveyed 272 elementary school students to discover the relation between parenting attitudes and cultural capital. The parenting attitude is divided as follows : democratic, overprotective, authoritative, rejective. The cultural capital is classified as embodied state cultural capital and objectified state cultural capital. The result drawn from analyzing the recovered questionnaires using Correlation analysis, t-test, F-test and MANOVA is as follows: First, in the case of democratic and overprotective attitude of parents, the cultural capital of the elementary school students is high. Second, when the parents possess the rejective attitude, the students cultural capital decreases. Third, the stronger the democratic attitude of parenting is, the higher the cultural capital increases. Fourth, the stronger the parental rejective attitude toward children is, the lower the children s cultural capital decreases. This result shows that the parenting attitude and the cultural capital are closely related, and it offers the direction for forming the parenting attitudes and the cultural capital.
