Purpose : Since X-ray was discovered by Roentgren in 1895, the bombed by X-ray has been the biggest part of artificial radiation. It’s definite that biological tissue reactions when it’s exposed by radiation. Even a very small amount of the bombed by radiation, if someone is exposed for a long time of many times, it takes some risk like leukemia and genetic influence. So we’d better make a smaller bombed circumstance for radiolotechnologists. In Kon-kuk University Medical Center, we installed the direction of tube toward the control room for the sake of patients. So from this case, what I want to know is how x-ray and scattering ray influence to radiolotechnologists. Materials and Methods : We measured scattering ray for three months from Oct 1, 2008 to Nov 31, 2008 in diagnostic radiology examination room We made two group A and B, three each, and then we installed total six TLD. Results : The average superficial dose of group A is 0.090 mSv and that of group B is 0.157 mSv. So the average superficial dose of group A is about 57% of that of group B. And average of group A is 0.093 mSv and that of group B is 0.150 mSv. So group A is about 62% of group B. Conclusion : The amount of radiation between group A and B makes 1.5 times difference. The reason the amount of radiation of group B which has a door between the control room and the exam room is higher, let alone influence of lead glass. We make the direction of tube toward the control room. This measurement can be compared with effective radiation which is generally performed in hospitals. The effective radiation of chest PA exam is 0.02 mSv, and that of lateral exam is 0.04 mSv. Also skull AP and lateral exam are 0.04 mSv. From this result, even it’s less than 0.2 mSv, from the study for 3months, we can’t neglect that. So we can know that if possible we should try to place tube not toward the control room Like Kon-kuk University Medical Center, in the case that tube is installed toward the control room for the patients’ sake, we University Medical Center, in the case that tube is installed toward the control room for the patients’ sake, we should try to minimalize the effect to radiolotechnologists using portable lead glass or shieling.
