국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 놀이와 일의 이분법적 이데올로기는 어떻게 형성되었으며, 놀잇감에 어떤 변화가 있었는가에 대한 의문을 갖고, 놀이와 놀잇감에 담긴 사회문화적 의미를 조망하는 데 있다. 자료수집 및 분석은 관련 문헌검토를 통하여 이루어졌다. 연구결과, 인류의 초기에는 일과 놀이가 분리되지 않았을 뿐 아니라 성인과 아동 모두가 즐기는 것이었으나 산업사회를 거치면서 일과 놀이가 분리되었고, 놀이는 아동의 것이라는 인식으로 자리 잡게 되었다. 또한 놀이에 사용되는 놀잇감이 상품화되고. 매스미디어와 관련을 맺고 첨단화되면서 아동은 놀잇감 구입을 위해 성인에게 의존해야 하는 소비자가 되었다. 아동은 상품화된 놀잇감의 등장으로 인해 놀이의 주체에서 놀이의 객체로 변화하였다. 본 연구는 아동기 놀이와 놀잇감에 대한 의미 조망을 통하여 놀이와 놀잇감에 관련된 연구를 확장하고, 놀이와 놀잇감의 발달과정 속에 숨어있는 아동관을 조명하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to survey that the present meaning of play and play material(toy) and to explore sociocultural meaning in play and play material(toy). Data was collected and analyzed by documents. Collected data was compared and analyzed with one another. In conclusion, there had not been distinct between paly and work and enjoyed adult and child together in the beginning of humanity. However, the play was separated from work and recognized of child s own after industrial society. In aspect of play material(toy), it has been commercialized and ultramodern by combination with mass-media and digitalization. This was make that children has been depend on adult in order to purchase a toy as a consumer. This means that children regards as the object not the subject in their playing. This study is significant in the sense of investigation and expansion related sociocultural meaning of play and play material(toy). And this study is useful in the sense of disclosing hidden meaning about historical process of play and play material(toy).
