국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 현재 교사 대 유아 비율이 높은 우리나라의 유아교육기관에서 교육활동의 효율성을 위해 몇몇의 유아들을 단순히 소집단으로 나누어 여러 가지 교육활동을 하고 있어 진정한 의미의 협동학습이 이루어지지 않고 있는 실정을 고려하여 Learning together 협동학습 모형에 기초한 수학활동이 유아의 측정능력에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구는 2013년 4월부터 2013년 7월 초까지 진행하였으며, 연구 대상은 충남에 소재한 B유치원의 만5세 유아 50명(실험집단 25명, 통제집단 25명)을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, Learning together 협동학습 모형에 기초한 수학활동은 유아의 측정기술 중 비표준 단위를 이용한 측정하기 능력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 ‘비표준 단위를 이용하여 길이, 넓이, 부피, 무게 측정하기’에서 측정능력이 향상된 것이다. 둘째, Learning together 협동학습 모형에 기초한 수학활동은 유아의 측정기술 중 직접 비교하기와 비표준 단위 선택 능력에 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 즉 직접 비교하기와 비표준 단위 선택하기에서 길이, 넓이, 부피, 무게 4개 영역 모두 효과가 나타나지 않았다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the effects of mathematical activity based on cooperative learning model of Learning Together on the measuring ability of the young children s Study subjects were established in the following procedure. Out of 50 5 year-old young children s enrolled at B kindergarten located at Chungnam, 25 young children s were allocated into the experimental group and 25 young children s into the control group. Examination tool used for this study was ‘Measuring Ability Test Tool’ of Hee Young Jeon (2001). Preliminary test was carried out with 25 young children s in experimental group and 25 young children s in control group. To examine the measuring ability of control group who received planned education activities and that of experimental group who received mathematical activities based on the cooperative learning model of Learning Together, I carried out t-test and χ2 test for comparison of preliminary test and post-test between groups, and utilized SAS 9.2 program for this. Conclusion of this study is as follows. First, mathematical ability based on cooperative learning model of Learning Together was found to have positive effects on the ability of young children to measure using non-standard unit among measuring skill of young children s Second, mathematical ability based on cooperative learning model of Learning Together was found not to influence the ability to directly compare and to select the non-standard unit among measuring skill of young children s In light of this, mathematical ability based on cooperative learning model of Learning Together was found to have positive effects on ‘ability to measure using non-standard unit’ among measuring ability of young children s Since this ability requires thoughts more difficult than the ability to directly compare and to select non-standard unit, mathematical activity based on cooperative learning model of Learning Together can be regarded to have positive effects on measuring ability of young children s.
