농촌 여성독거노인의 사회활동과 삶의 만족도

국문 초록

본 연구는 농촌에 거주하고 있는 여성독거노인의 사회활동이 삶의 만족도에 어떤 관련이 있는지 알아보기 위해 2006년 5월 20일부터 2달간 충남 당진과 태안의 농촌지역에 거주하는 여성 독거노인 312명을 대상으로 조사한 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 농촌 여성독거노인의 사회활동 참여 실태는, 가사노동에 가장 많이 참여하고, 단체 활동, 돈벌이 순으로 참여하고 있었다. 둘째, 농촌 여성독거노인의 특성에 따른 사회활동 참여유형을 보면, 돈벌이는 연령이 적을수록, 직업이 농어업이나 자영업일 경우, 소득원이 본인이나 배우자일 때, 더 많이 참여 하는 것으로 나타났고, 자원봉사활동은 연령이 60대인 경우, 학력이 초졸인 경우가 가장 많이 참여하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 단체 활동은 학력이 초졸인 경우와 종교가 기독교와 불교인 경우, 소득이 많을수록, 생활수준이 중간정도인 경우, 주택거주 형태가 전월세나 자가인 경우에 많이 참여하는 것으로 나타났으며, 가사노동 참여는 연령이 70대 이상일 경우와, 학력이 초졸이나 무학인 경우, 주택거주 형태는 자가인 경우 가사노동에 많이 참여하는 것으로 나타났다. 사회활동 만족감은 연령이 60-70대 일 경우, 종교가 기독교일 때, 소득원이 국민기초수급자가 아닐 때, 건강상태가 좋을수록 큰 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 농촌 여성독거노인의 사회활동 참여유형별 사회활동 만족도는 자원봉사, 단체 활동, 교육활동에 참여할수록 농촌 여성독거노인의 사회활동 만족감이 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 농촌 여성독거노인의 사회활동참여 및 사회활동만족감이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위한 위계적 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 사회인구학적 변인을 통제하고, 농촌 여성독거노인의 사회활동 참여 및 사회활동만족감이 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 사회활동요인은 사회활동 만족감이 가장 크게 영향을 미쳤고, 단체 활동은 참여를 적게 할수록, 교육활동은 참여를 많이 할수록, 사회활동만족감이 클수록 농촌여성독거노인의 삶의 만족도가 큰 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine which relationship there is between social activity and quality of life in elderly females living alone who are living in rural area. Survey was made targeting 312 elderly females living alone in the rural area of Dangjin and Taean in Chungnam for 2 months starting from May 20, 2006. And, given summarizing the findings, those are as follows. First, given examining the actual condition for participation of elderly females living alone in social activity, they participated in household-affair labor the most, and were participating in order of group activity and money earning. Second, given seeing types of participation in social activity according to characteristics in female elders living alone in rural area, the more participation was indicated in the younger age as for money earning, in case of agriculture and fishery, and in case of the person in question or of spouse as for income source. And, the volunteering-work activity was indicated to be participated the most in case of being their 60s as for age and in case of elementary-school graduate as for academic career. The group activity was indicated to be participated much in case of elementary-school graduate as for academic career, in case of Christianity and Buddhism as for religion, in the higher income, in case of being middle as for living level, and in case of lease of a house on a deposit basis or monthly rent, and own house as for a house dwelling type. And, the household-affair labor was indicated to be participated much in case of being their more than 70s as for age, in case of elementary-school graduate or illiteracy as for academic career, and in case of own house as for a house dwelling type. Satisfaction at social activity was indicated to be larger in case of being their 60-70s as for age, given being Christianity as for religion, in case of being not Basic Livelihood Security Recipients as for income source, and in the better healthy condition. Third, the satisfaction with social activity by participatory type of Female Elders Living Alone in Rural Area in social activity was indicated to be bigger in the satisfaction of Female Elders Living Alone in Rural Area, who participate in volunteering work, group activity, and education. Fourth, Rural women participate in social activities and social activities of Female Elders Living Alone in Rural Area explore the impact on life satisfaction for the results hierarchical regression analysis, social and demographic variable control, rural women participate in social activities and social activities of Female Elders Living Alone in Rural Area. To the satisfaction of life satisfaction in the social activities of social activities that affect the satisfaction of the largest madder, a little more participation in group activities, the more participation in education activities, social activities, the larger the satisfaction of Female Elders Living Alone in Rural Area were of great satisfaction.
