국문 초록

본 연구는 팀 협력체제에서 의료사회복지사의 역할수행 경험에 대해 현상학적 방법으로 접근하여 그 본질을 파악하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 4명의 의료사회복지사를 심층 면접하여 8개의 범주와 13개의 하위범주를 도출하였다. 8개의 범주는 ‘업무에 대한 경계가 모호함’, ‘타전문직의 인식이 부족함’, ‘타전문직과 갈등을 경험함’, ‘부당한 대우로 인해 화남’, ‘적극적인 태도로 임함’, ‘각자의 영역을 존중함’, ‘서로 도움을 주고받음’, ‘친분이 업무수행에 도움이 됨’으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 팀 협력체제에서 의료사회복지사의 역할수행 경험을 심층적으로 이해하여 역할모호성이나 역할갈등에서 비롯되는 의료사회복지사의 소진문제를 예방하고 효과적인 팀 협력 방안을 구축함으로써 클라이언트에게 보다 효과적이고 절적한 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 기초자료로써 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study illustrates the essential understanding of medical social worker’s experience about performing a role in a team-approach system In this study, an phenomenological approach is combined with the qualitative research strategy of interviewing in order to examine diversity dimensions of the medical social worker’s experience. The data analysis follows the procedure of qualitative content analysis. During May to June, 2006, four medical social worker’s were individually interviewed for an hour. The experience can be divided in to 13 sub-category and 8 focal meanings; Ambiguity of boundary in duties, Taking an active attitude, Respecting their own field each other, Lack of perception to other professionals, Conflict with other professionals, Anger because of un affair treatment, Helping each others, Performing duties using intimacy. Essential themes for understanding medical social worker’s experience, implication for intervention, research, direction and need for continuing inquiry were identified. Implications of the study findings could be useful of prevention of medical social worker’s burnout which is based on role ambiguity or role conflicts. In addition to this, it could be made practical application of the basic data for providing appropriate service to clients by arranging an effective planning about team-approach.
