유아교사의 소진감이 유아문제행동지도전략에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 만 4, 5세를 담당하는 유아교사의 소진감과 유아문제행동 지도전략의 전반적인 경향을 알아보고, 유아교사의 소진감과 유아문제행동 지도전략 간의 관계 및 영향력을 알아보는 데에 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 용인시에 위치한 유치 원(사립) 9곳과 어린이집(국공립, 민간) 11곳에 근무하고 있는 만 4, 5세반 담당 교사 186명이었다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 직무나 유아와 관련된 소진감 보다 개인적인 소진감이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 유아문제행동 지도전략 중 긍정적 예방전략 Ⅱ가 가장 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 유아문제행동 지도전략은 직무와 관련 된 소진감과 유의미한 부적 상관이 있었다. 또한, 교사의 직무와 관련된 소진감이 낮을수록 유아문제행동 지도전략을 많이 사용하는 것으로 나타났다. 유아교사들이 심리적 소진을 경험하기 전에 예방교육을 실시하는 것이 필요하고, 교사가 예방적이고 긍정적인 지도전략을 효과적으로 사용할 수 있는 바람직한 교육환경을 마련할 수 있도록 지원해주어야 함을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to find out overall trend of burnout feelings and the teaching strategies of early childhood teachers of five and six year old children for their problem behaviors and to find out the relationship and between the burnout feelings and the teaching strategies. This research was carried out with 186 teachers of 5 and 6 year-old children classes who are working in 9 kindergarten(private) and 11 daycare centers(public, private) located in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi –do. The obtained results are as follows: First, the burnout feelings for personal reasons was higher than those associated with job duty or children. Second, positive prevention strategy Ⅱ was the highest among the teaching strategies for early childhood problem behaviors Third, the problem behavior teaching strategies showed negative correlation with the burnout feelings related to the job duty. It was also found that the lower the burnout feelings related to the job duty of the teachers, the more the teaching strategies for problem behavior have been used. From these results it was suggested that early childhood teachers should implement preventive education before they experience psychological burnout feelings, and one should help teachers to develop a desirable educational environment in which preventive and positive teaching strategies could be effectively used.
