국문 초록

本稿は仮名による初期の笑い文学として土佐日記を考察したものである。和文体 が形成しはじめる平安前期に日記全体にわたって、執拗なまでに言葉による 諧謔性 を追求している点に注目し、方法としての笑いの全体像を俯瞰しようとした。土佐日 記の 諧謔性 は日本文学史の記述において関心がよせられてきた一ところであり、す でに江戸時代から議論がなされてきた。が、笑いの全体像をつかんでいるとは言いが たく、依然として部分的な論議に止まっていた。そこで、まずⅠ章では 文学におけ る笑い という観点に立ち、文学研究において笑いをどう理解すべきかを提言し、Ⅱ 章ではなぜ土佐日記の笑いを扱うのか、その意義を述べた。そしてⅢ章で土佐日 記の方法としての笑いを、テクストの特徴に基づき、(1)機智的言葉遊び、(2)揶揄 諷刺、(3)滑稽 諧謔に分けその全体像をとらえようとした。

영문 초록

This paper is an in-depth overview of Tosa nikki as an early literature of laughter written in Kana. Research on the holistic view of the mechanism of laughter is important as there is persistent pursuit of “comedy (kokkei) ” in the language throughout the Tosa nikki written in early Heian Period when Kana writings began to form. The comedy (kokkei) in the Tosa nikki has significant meaning in narrating the history of Japanese literature. Although the topic has been discussed since the Edo Period, only partial research is done on laughter and lack of research on the holistic approach. To examine further out, this pa-per breaks down into Chapter 1 which suggests how laughter should be un-derstood in literary research from the perspective of laughter in literature and Chapter 2 which defines the significance of why laughter in Tosa nikki should be dealt with. Lastly, Chapter 3 divides the mechanism of laughter in the Tosa nikki into textual characteristics which are (1) witty wordplay, (2) ridicule and satire, and (3) comedy (kokkei) and humor.
