국문 초록

이 논문에서는 재고 모형의 역사적 발전에 관하여 고찰한다. 이를 위하여, 먼저 효과적인 해법이 알려진 주요 문제에 관하여 개략적으로 살펴본다. 이러한 문제들로는 단일 단계 재고모형, 여러 단계 재고모형, 공급사슬에서의 조정과 정보공유 등이 있다. 다음으로 기업의 재고관리에 도움을 주기 위해서 고려해야 할 몇 가지 이슈들을 살펴본다. 이러한 이슈들로는 재고모형에서의 가정, 간헐적인 수요, 미래 공급의 불확실성, 제품들 간의 조정, 여러 단계 재고모형, 마케팅과의 상호작용, 공급사슬관리에서의 정보공유 등 이 있다. 이러한 이슈들이 해결되면 산업체의 재고관리에 보다 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것이다.

영문 초록

Historical developments of inventory management related analytical methods, are examined in this paper. A brief review of major problems, that have been effectively solved, is presented. This review covers single location inventory models, multi-echelon inventory models, and coordination and information sharing in a supply chain. Then, research problems to deal with some issues that are still prevalent, and that companies need to consider, in inventory management, are pointed out. These research problems include assumptions in inventory models, intermittent demand, spare parts, uncertainty in future supply, coordinated control of products, multi-echelon systems, interactions with marketing, and information sharing in supply chain management. The implementable solutions of these issues would have beneficial impact on the practice of inventory management.
