국문 초록

이 논문은 지식경제의 생산적 특징을 탐구하고, 지식경제에서 분배적 정의가 악화되는 문제를 극복하기위해 성경으로부터 그 해결 방안을 유추하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 지식경제는 수확체증이 지배하는 경제이고, 따라서 풍요의 경제이다. 그러나 풍요의 결실이 지식 노동자에게 집중되고,시장을 선점하는 대기업에 집중되는 문제점이 있다. 성경의 포도원 품삯에 대한 비유 (마태복음 20:1-16)는 생산과정에 참여하는 노동자들 사이에 지식이나 경험이 공유되는 외부성(spillover)을 확대시킴으로써 생산성을 높이고, 이렇게 증대된 생산성을 시장경쟁의 낙오자들에게 일자리 나눔의 형태로 사용될 것을 제시한다. 이기심을 바탕으로하는 시장경제에서는 지식이나 경험의 공유가 지식창출을 억제시키는 상충관계(trade-off)를 일으킬 수 있다. 이런 시장실패를 해결하기 위해 지식과경험의 공유화 문제에 정부가 개입할 필요가 있다. 정부가 지식 인프라구축에 투자하고 또, 공공성이 높은 지식을 구매해서 확산시키는 등의창의적인 정부정책이 필요하다.

영문 초록

This paper is to explore the characteristics of production in knowledge economy, and then to deduce the solution from the bible for the problems of deteriorating distributive justice in there. The Knowledge economy is the one that the law of increasing returns to scale applies in production and thus makes economy affluent. The spillover of knowledge should diffuse over the economy and within firm production in order for the increased income from the application of knowledge in production to distribute evenly among people. However, the larger is the spillover the less is the production of knowledge. The bible story about the wages of workers in vineyard (Mathew 20:1-16) hints that the workers in production process should share their experience and knowledge with their companions. The increased productivity from this sharing should be used for job creation. If this solution is not possible with selfish producers in the market economy, the government intervention is necessary.
