국문 초록

이 글은 2000년 이후 역사교과서 연구의 지속과 새로운 변화를 검토한 글이다. 연구 영역은 비판적 교육과정 이론의 교과서관에 따라 역사 교과서 내용이 어떻게 선정되고 어떤 관점에서 조직되는가를 역사학, 교수 학습 자료, 이데올로기, 교과서 발행제도, 타자에 대한 인식 등 다섯 가지 유형으로 범주화했다. 바람직한 역사교과서가 담아야 할 교육 내용은 역사학의 다양한 학문적 성과를 토대로 타자와 공존하는 보편적 가치를 지향하는 내용이 선정되는 것이 무엇보다 중요하다. 그리고 선정된 교육내용을 교사와 학생을 위한 교수 학습 자료로 조직하기 위해 다양한 역사교과서가 자율적으로 발행되고 선택될 수 있는 방법과 구체적 실천이 필요하다. 이를 통해 역사교과서를 둘러싼 갈등의 원인과 해소 방안을 찾는데 도움을 받고, 역사교육연구의 지평을 넓히는 계기로 삼아보자.

영문 초록

This article is a review of continuance and new change in study of history textbook after 2000. Research areas are categorized into five types, which are theory of history, teaching materials, ideology, textbooks publishing system, and recognition of others based on critical aspect about history education course. The reason of conflict surrounding the history textbook at home and abroad is that educational contents justify contemporary political and power structure in the particular society. Thus, it is most important that history textbook to have the contents of universal value pursuing harmony with others, based on the result of various study in history. And also it is need to make system and do action that various history textbooks are able to be selected and published without regulation for organizing selected contents as the teaching material. Through these efforts and actions, we are able to find reason of conflicts surrounding history books and on the same time to find the solution for it. Also it shall be good momentum to expand the area of history education study.
