베다 만뜨라의 기원을 지닌 딴뜨라 수행에 대한 고찰

국문 초록

딴뜨라의 수행은 철학적인 개념과 수련에서 베다를 기원으로 한 것과 그렇지 않은 두 가지 형태가 있다. 베다를 기원으로 하는 딴뜨라는 공통적인 인간의 감정에 대한 억제를 더 주장한다. 반면에 베다를 기원으로 하지 않은 딴뜨라는 감각적인 즐거움과 느낌을 더 허용하는 특징이 있다. 이런 점에서 본고는 베다에서 기원하고 베다와 뚜렷한 유사성을 지닌 딴뜨라 수행의 특징을 고찰했다. 만뜨라로부터 우주의 기원을 설명하는 방법은 베다에 적용된 와쯔(vac)의 창조적인 힘 그리고 샵다브라흐만(sabdabrahman)에 대한 것이다. 최초의 우주론적인 OM은 베다와 딴뜨라의 근원적인 말씀이며 우주와 동일시되는 최상의 산물이다. 이러한 형이상학적인 추론으로 연결된 베다적인 개념은 딴뜨라의 가르침에 의해 광범위한 만뜨라과학 (mantrasastra)의 형태로 지지되고 확장되었다. 베다만 뜨라의 기원을 지닌 딴뜨라의 수행은 그들의 실행을 통해서 얻어진 말씀 에너지의 형태로 변화된 만뜨라의 개념을 지닌다. 딴뜨라 만뜨라의 우주적인 역할은 주로 주재 신에 대한 방식인 물라만뜨라(mulamantra)이다. 물라만뜨라의 영역은 종교적이며 마법적인 부분이 있지만 단순히 만뜨라의 직관이나 유도된 접신 의 단계로 발전한 것이 아니라 우주적인 만뜨라의 힘을 과학적으로 표현했다. 만뜨라로 나타난 베다의 창조적인 힘은 우빠니샤드를 거쳐 딴뜨라 수행의 방법론과 연관성을 지닌 것으로 나타난다.

영문 초록

The Tantras are of two types. These are the practices of the Vedic origin and non-Vedic Tantras. The only remarkable difference between these two, in the Vedic origin greater emphasis has been laid on the restraint of common human feelings, while in the non-Vedic Tantras greater concession has been given to the sensual pleasure and feelings of the common human beings. In this article, we will describe about that the Tantric practices have originated from the Vedas and remarkable similarities with that. The only way to explain that the origin of universe was from mantra is to assert sabdabrahman and especially the first creative power of vac applied to veda. In the Veda and Tantras, OM is the original Word and the highest product which identifies with universe. This kind of metaphysics connect with the concept of veda has been supported and expanded by instruction of Tantra with mantrasastra. The tantric practice originated from vedic mantra has conception of mantra changed the form of speech energy through their substantial fulfillment. The cosmic roll of tantric mantra is mulamantra which is the formula of principal gods. The realm is magical and religious part. But it is not simply intuition of mantra or does not develop to be possessed of gods, but expresses the power of cosmic mantra scientifically. We can feel the process of development of creative power of veda through the study of tantric practice.
