국문 초록

이 연구는 국내 보완․대체의사소통체계(AAC) 연구의 동향을 알아보고자 AAC를 연구주제로 한 연구가 학술지에 처음 게재된 시점인 1994년부터 2011년 10월까지의 논문 131편을 분석하였다. 문헌분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 유형은 실험연구와 문헌연구가 많이 이루어졌고, 최근 질적연구 및 개발연구가 많이 시도되었다, 둘째, 연구 대상은 지체장애를 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많았고 지체장애의 경우 주로 실험연구와 문헌연구에서 다루어졌다. 특히 최근에는 특정장애영역에 편중되던 과거와는 달리 자폐성장애, 정신지체 등 발달장애 대상 연구도 활발하게 이루어졌다. 또한, AAC 연구는 3명의 초등학생이나 유치원생을 대상으로 한 단일대상연구에 편중된 경향을 보였다. 셋째, AAC 실험연구를 대상으로 환경, 상징, 도구, 기술, 전략, 종속변인을 분석한 결과에서는 특수학교에서 실시된 중재 실험이 가장 많았고, 상징은 그림상징, 도구는 의사소통판과 음성출력도구, 그림교환체계를 다양하게 사용하였다. 의사소통 기술은 직접선택하기에 편중되어 있었으나 의사소통 촉진을 위한 전략은 직접교수와 모델링, 기다리기 전략을 다양하게 사용하였다. 종속변인은 의사소통능력 향상을 검증하고자 하는 연구가 대부분이었다. 이 연구는 모든 장애영역의 AAC 문헌을 분석함으로써, 최근의 연구 동향을 살펴보고 이에 따른 향후 연구 방향을 제안하였다는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to find out the recent trend of researches in Korea by synthesizing finding of Augmentative and Alternative Communication(AAC), from 1994 when AAC research paper was first published in the journal to October, 2011, 131 papers published via journals and conferences were analyzed. Results of analysis are: first, the number of experimental research and that of literature research were similar, recently, much efforts are made to qualitative research and development research.; second, past research was focused on physical disability. While physical disability was covered mainly by experimental and literature research. Different from the past research which was centered to specific disorder, recent research includes autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disability. And the AAC interventional trial, single subject research was most commonly conducted for three elementary school students.; third, according to the analysis of 62 AAC experimental studies on dependent variables such as environment, symbol, aid, technique, and strategy, the most common environment was a special school, the symbol was PCS, the aids were the communication board, VOCA, and PECS. While direct selection was most commonly used as communication skill, as for communication facilitation strategy, direct teaching, modeling and waiting were evenly used. Most research on dependent variables was to verify how to improve communicative skills. This study is meaningful as it suggested directions for further study by analyzing AAC literature and recent research trends.
