국문 초록

영유아 자폐스펙트럼장애를 조기 선별하여 조기 중재한 효과성은 국내외적으로 거듭 입증이 되고 있다. 학문적으로나 국가적으로나 이들을 적응적 발달로 이끄는 일이 중요하다는 인식은 이 분야의 연구자나 임상가가 모두 공감하는 부분이다. 이와 관련해서 국내에서 체계적으로 접근하여 효율성을 높이는 우선적인 방법은 그동안 개별적으로 이루어진 정신의학, 심리학, 특수교육학, 감각통합영역의 평가를 통한 조기선별과 개입 및 지원체계 접근을 함께 이해하고 융합적으로 조직화하는 시도이다. 본 논고에서는 영유아 자폐스펙트럼장애에 관한 최근 국내외 인식의 증가와 국가적 차원의 개입정책의 활성화에 발맞추어 영유아 자폐스펙트럼장애 접근의 학제 간 현주소를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 바탕으로 추후 진행되는 국가적 차원의 영유아자폐스펙트럼장애의 선별도구 제작의 기반을 다지고자 한다. 궁극적으로는 다 학제 간 융합 적 접근의 효과성을 극대화하여 우리 사회의 자폐스펙트럼장애 영유아와 가족과 지역기관의 접근의 어려움을 해결하는 신뢰롭고 타당한 선별도구를 개발하여 자폐스펙트럼장애 영유아의 최적 발달을 도모하고 가족의 안녕을 증진하고 국가적으로 효율적인 지원체계를 고안하고자 한다.

영문 초록

The effectiveness of early screening of and intervention in young children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) has been proved repeatedly at home and abroad. All people engaged in the area agree on the importance of leading them to adaptive development for the purpose of research and national interest. What is most important for systematic approach and increase of effectiveness is to achieve convergence by understanding and integrating approaches of assessment and intervention in the areas of psychiatry, psychology, special education, and sensory integration therapy which were discussed and conducted individually. With recognition of ASD among infants and toddlers increasing at home and abroad and intervention policies being activated at the government level, this paper intends to examine the state of the interdisciplinary study on ASD among young children. This will in turn lay the groundwork for development of screening tools for young children with ASD at the government level in the future. This paper is ultimately aimed at forging interdisciplinary approach to develop reliable and valid screening tools to ease difficulties of young children with ASD, their families, and community organizations, promoting best development of young children with ASD and happiness of their families, and easing social and economic burdens of the country.
