연해주 발해성곽의 구조와성격

국문 초록

본고는 발해의 동북 변경인 연해주에 위치한 발해성곽의 분포에 대해 살펴보고 고고학적 검토를 통해 본원적인’발해유적의구조와성격을피악하기위한목적으로작성되었다. 해당지역을수계에 띠라 몇 개의 유역으로 나누어 각 유역별 성곽 유적의 현횡을 정리하고， 평지성과 산성으로 구분하여 각 유형의 규모， 건축재료，영변형태， 빙어시설， 내부구조 동을 검토한 후 성곽의 기능과 특정을 검토하였다. 이를 통해 연해주지역 발해성곽의 성격 및 중심 지역 성곽의 축성전통과 그 연걸성을 추정해보았다. 연해주지역 내 15개의 발해성곽 중 I17H가 평지성으로 다수를 차지한다 분포상으로 성곽은 수분하 일리스타야강 우수리강 상류에 위치한다 연해주에서는 소형과 대형 성곽이 없고 중형과 중대형이 주류를 이루고있다 이러한 평지성은 지방을 다스리기 위한 행정의 중심지로 추정할 수 있다. 반면 산성은 주변 지역을 빙에 감시하논 역할을 했다. 지형조건이나 축성기술로 인해 이 지역에서는 부정형 또는 불규칙한 장방형의 성곽을 축조하였다 그리고 외석내토J토석을 많이 이용해 축조한 것은이 지역의 특성으로볼수있다 성곽에는부속시설이 잘설치되지 않은상횡이 보인다. 연해주 발해성곽은 다른 지역의 말해성곽과 전반적으로 유사하지만 규모， 형태， 축성에서 지역성이 확인되었다. 이러한 것은 발해의 변방이라논 지리적 위치， 재지적인 영향에서 기인한 것으로 추정된다. 발해성곽에는충원 고구려 말갈의 축성 전통이 반영되어 있을뿐만아니라독특한특징도 획인된다 한편 연해주 말해성곽의 축성방법은 발해의 주변 지역으로도 전파되었다

영문 초록

This study examin the characteristics and structures of Palhae ιasdes in the Russian Primorsky krai. To understand the unique properties of the Primorsky krai castles, data were subdivided by smaller regions, and the characteristics (Iocation, topography, form, size, function, constructional materials and structure, defense works along the walls) were reVlewζd. Inferences were made in terms of ilie characteristics of the Palhae ιastles in the Primorsky krai, compared with ιastles located in central part ofPalhae Of the 15 castle sites, 11 are plain castles located along major rivers, including the Suifen, Razdolnaya and Upper Ussuri. Palhae castles are predominantly plain; although some have a rectangular or square form, irregular plain castles are more prevalent in this region. There are many medium and medium-large castles, their size varies by importance and administrative function. Small and big castles are not found, and uncommon for a Palhae castle. Plain castles of Palhae feature a variety of construction materials and methods, including ε:arthen ， stone-and-earth and stone walls. Especially, earthen walls fortifìed outside by stone masonry was widely used. Defense works along the walls are absent or built only at a few cases. Irregular mountain castles defended settlements and were located at strategic positions where they could overlook vast terntones Palhae castles in Russian Primorsky krai are similar with those in other regions, but there are some regional characteristics in form, size, and construction, probably originating from the geography as the periphery ofPalhae. Palhae castles exhibited a confluence ofMohe, Koguryo, and Tang Chinese cultures, strongly reflected in architecture and construction. At same time, architectural tradition demonstrates a high degree of local characters. The construction method of the Palhae castles in Russian Primor krai influen the surrounding territories outside Palhae.
